Another more substantial and squat and gaily illuminated 'Pooram Pandal' shrine along the periphery of the massive Swaraj Roundabout rotunda in the Southern Indian town of Trichur in Kerala. I took a slightly distant shot due to the size of the structure and also to capture a bit of the atmosphere with scores of people milling about, waiting for the parades to start. I thought the brilliant colours contrast perfectly against the jet black sky, something my trusty Nikon D90 dSLR has captured admirably. (Trichur/ Thrissur, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016)
Anniesland tower in its illuminated nighttime glory - the lights on the right of the tower cycle through various colours as well as there being patterned spotlights that move around the end of the tower, which you can see here as the darker blue pattern just above halfway up.
