A coloursplash photo of the Albert Dock, Liverpool. I could spend days here; it's such a superb example of maritime heritage done well.
Riva Degli Schiavoni Markets, Venice Waterfront promenade between Doge's Palace and the Arsenalem where stalls selling a variety of things from snacks, pastries, confections of all sorts, and Venetian souvenirs
my first ever polagram! (okay, im lying... the first was on 600film and i totally overexposed it... this is really my second) :D
This is a classic example of how, when you think you're running dry on inspiration, the smallest of things can help out, especially with this 365 project.
It was miserable all day, so I had no motivation to go out on a photo walk in the rain. I spent most of the day indoors wondering what I could shoot, but gave up and had a coffee instead.
And that's pretty much how this photo came about. I saw the reflection of my overly large mug in the place mats we have on our dining table and hey presto! I present to you today's image.
Image taken during a fabulous holiday in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. This particular shot taken in Whistler village, at the Olympic Plaza, February 5th, 2011.
Image shot with a Panasonic Lumix G1, 14-45mm lens. Processing carried out in CS5. This selective colour piece took an age to edit, all the colour being manually done in CS5.
Much, much better when viewed in large.
Paisley Abbey saw a period of restoration begin in 1862, which saw the demolition of the Mediaeval Fourth cloister. The church was assuranced by a respected local historian that the structure was a later addition and not worth preservation. Unfortunately this was not correct, and the Abbey lost an important part of it's history. The north and part of the east cloisters were restored in 1914. In the centre of the cloister garden is the Abbey's war memorial (seen here) dedicated in the presence of Earl Haig in 1923.

Summer party on board a tiny little boat, motoring up the River Thames from Canary wharf to Battersea and back. By the time we got half way the light was fading, along with most people's sobriety. Time to wander about with my coloursplash flash, highlighting the jolly sailors and capturing their fits of laughter.
