Great Lakes freighter American Republic of American Steamship Co. comes around Collision Bend in the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland. She was specially built to navigate the Cuyahoga, with it's twisting profile, with a bi-directional pilothouse. She now sails for the Great Lakes Fleet as the Great Republic and seldom visits the Cuyahoga. May 1982.
Two major Atlantic Ocean currents collide just off Cape Hatteras (Cape Hatteras National Seashore on the Outer Banks of North Carolina). The mixing of the warm and cold currents along with the winter winds often create turbulent water.
In this race 30 cars started but only 24 finished.
A constant change in the lead due to collisions or some ended up in the gravel bed and lost precious seconds and places before they were back on the track.
Even the hummingbirds got it wrong sometimes. I couldn't see what had happened until I looked at the photo!
Taken at Tandayapa Bird Lodge, Ecuador.

I remember going with someone over to the Wellington Destructor near this spot to check out the building as word online was it was accessible. It wasn't, but we saw Stan who lived in the incinerator and his cats. We walked around and found this old garage under demolition. It was the first active demolition site I checked out with a freshly reassembled shit fish eye, a Zenit 16 that sheared apart at another location the week before.
This spot wasn't super interesting, but I'm still a sucker for a building with no roof 17 years later.

A first attempt at getting a water drop collision inside of a bubble. A lot to learn but I'm impressed with the one decent one of 150!

Two seagulls about to land, apparently slighty out of control, not the sharpest image, but I liked the combination.
