I looove my hoodies. I think I have more hoodies than I do actual clothes. Which is pretty odd considering I live in California--the sunshine state. It's like cold for 3 months of the year and then the sun comes out to strike the rest of the time. But I'll still wear my hoodies at night, which for me, is my favorite time to go out and have fun anyway. And even if the days are hot, the nights in Cali are always breezy. I guess there are cons and pros to Cali weather. As long as it's not too hot for hoodies, I'm happy.

As I type this, an “arctic air invasion” is pushing its way south to us in Texas, leaving much of the country feeling as cold as a mid-winter’s day. While I’m sitting here thinking of the precautions and preparations I’ll take for the impending cold spell, I wanted to share a list of the most important items I carry with me and how those correspond to preparing for cold weather. ~ Bryan
During an emergency is a lousy time to think of all the things you should have been carrying. The important thing is not to wait until the last minute to prepare.

Bright, challenging conditions made for some fun. I used the ultra wide-angle lens, even if not as skillfully as I would have liked.

Chase feels that I should document what I look like bundled up. When I leave the house it's between 10°F and 30°F in the winter. Layers are the key.
Coat: White Stag, thrifted (Goodwill Bins)
Hat: handmade, during one of my commutes, with gifted yarn from Trina
Scarf: handmade, gift, from Chase's mom (it's almost twice my height)
