Michigan National Guard Armory, 89 West Chicago Street, Coldwater, Michigan. The Michigan National Guard Armory was built in 1917 at a cost of $45,000. Today the building is home to the Coach Eby Youth and Family Center.
This is at Coldwater Spring. A site which was both important to the Native American population and the European settlers that started arriving in the area around Minneapolis, Minnesota beginning in 1820.

These hung at the corner of Clay and Pearl Street in Coldwater Michigan from the mid 1940s until 2011. I bought both from the city on 11/18/2016. I will be keeping the one on the right. The one on the left has been sold off to another collector.

Carbon Studies is one of three concurrent solo exhibitions featuring the work of Kim Abeles during February/March in Southern California. Each show has a thematic context, made possible by the prolific nature of this artist. The work is always ambitious in approach, socially relevant, and reverent to hand-constructed art forms.
Carbon Studies explores her Smog Collectors (paintings made from the smog in the air), and Signs of Life series that identify the trees of Los Angeles, one by one, in the form of model trees and aerial mappings.
The exhibition refers to the poetics of carbon, its relationship to life and death, our memory of life forms, and our relationship to the current environment. Along with the images made of smog and the tree plottings, the show includes photographs of the dioramas at the Natural History Museum, digitized views of the human body, and Criss-Cross, a video-wall featuring pedestrians and vehicles in Hanoi as they harmoniously maneuver the streets without traffic lights.

Environmental works by Abeles and new works created from 5 days of the school’s trash, collected, washed, ironed, and constructed without the knowledge of students or faculty.
The Arts district is located south of Little Tokyo near the LA. River. The Los Angeles River and Business Association recognizes the contribution Arts District Artist has made to the burgeoning art scene of Downtown Los Angeles and the world. The Art’s District is the home and manufacturing hub of many of Americas best artists and artwork.
Edgar Varela Fine Arts is dedicated to bringing new and exiting emerging artist to the spotlight. EVFA has a showroom space located on Alameda Street between 5th Street and 6th Street at the corner with Palmetto Street. Parking is located in front of the building and on the surrounding street. Before OCD opened in 1973 there were two dispatch centers for the LAFD. Westlake, located in McArthur Park handled all of the alarm boxes and radio dispatch from the L.A. basin to the harbor.
Coldwater Dispatch was located at Fire Station 108 On Mulholland Dr. and Coldwater Canyon Dr. It dispatched companies located in the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles using the callsign "Coldwater"
After OCD opened, Coldwater was retained as a backup dispatch center. In Feb. 2012 Metro Fire Communications opened at the new Fire Station 4 using the callsign "Metro" or "MFC". OCD was retained as a backup and Coldwater will be permanently shut down.

Merritt's most historical building, the Coldwater Hotel was named after the river that flows past Merritt and through the Coquihalla Pass. William McIntyre built the first Coldwater Hotel in 1908, a two story structure with 12 rooms located on the corner across the street from our present location.

Scooby was over by the coldwater spring contemplating his relevance in time and space and his place in the history of the geological feature before him.
On the first weekend in August, the town of Coldwater, OH throws the annual Community Picnic in Memorial Park. The picnic has no corporate sponsors and is community run. It is cemented in the memory of my childhood as one of the best times of year. The village of 4,000 likely triples on this weekend from all of the friends and family who come home to visit.
This is Coldwater Lake at the Mt. St. Helens National Monument. The lake was formed after the eruption in 1980. As you can see, there are still broken trees lying around.. remnants of the destruction that occurred that day.
I bought Lightroom 4 recently and having never used Lightroom before.. it has been challenging. The exif data says Elements and that would be because I couldn't get cloning to work the way I wanted (there were two spots from my image sensor) so I edited in Lightroom and then fixed the spots in Elements.
