The Chinstrap Penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica) is a species of penguin which is found in the South Sandwich Islands, Antarctica, Deception Island, the South Orkneys, South Shetland, South Georgia, Bouvet Island and Balleny. Their name derives from the narrow black band under their heads which makes it appear as if they are wearing black helmets, making them one of the most easily identified types of penguin. Other names for them are "Ringed Penguins", "Bearded Penguins", and "Stonecracker Penguins" due to their harsh call.

The sun rising above the clouds behind Brightwell Barrow, a Bronze Age Bowl Barrow on a small hill about 1 km south east of Wittenham Clumps, Oxfordshire.
There is a sensation- a feeling, that you can only have when you are there, when you can taste the fresh clean crisp air, when the wind licks at your bare skin, when you are in the weather as opposed to looking up at it, when your eyes scan the horizon and you see peak, after peak, after peak. You can feel the power and magnitude of the landscape and you are at the mercy of the elements. The unknown is ahead and you wait with eagar anticipation.
