Panoramic view of my hometown on a cold January morning at -13°C. The sunrise illuminates the scene, with mist hovering over snow-covered rooftops. The sky shows soft golden and pink tones as the day begins.
I love being here throughout the year, as each season brings its own unique beauty and light that never fails to fascinate and inspires me to capture it.
This year I'll be sharing my best photos from each season. 😊

It's a cold, dreary February day, as C&NW GP15 #4411 approaches the BN crossing near Shabbona, IL. The conductor is climbing down off the locomotive, preparing to call the BN dispatcher and get the signal to cross the main line. This is the C&NW's Troy Grove job. Back then, 3 to 4 cars long. Now, I guess 50 or more cars. The main commodity hauled off of this line is silica sand. The CNW unit became UPY 542, was returned to the lessor and is now roaming around as LLPX 1514.

Que frio que hace!!! Hoy no paro de nevar en todo el dia... esta foto la saque la semana pasada pero el paisaje no cambio nada (a lo sumo mas nieve)
It's been many years since I've spent autumn in California, so naturally I've been traipsing through the mountains and enjoying the changing colors. I've heard raving comments about the color out in the Eastern Sierra this year, but alas I haven't made the long drive out that direction. Here is some aspen color (and perhaps some cottonwood too?) closer to home along Cold Stream in the Truckee area.
There were some Jeffrey pines nearby which smelled like vanilla!

These dwarf Irises were at the flower seminar I went yesterday,
what a delightful image to see on a cold rainy day,
I have to make spot for them in the front garden beds.
Have a great Sunday!
Olá pessoal. O frio resolveu aparecer por aqui. Não tem coisa melhor que isso?
Quando o frio aparece por aqui eu corro pegar o cardigã no armário *-*
Obrigada por tudo pessoal.

This damn hike. A couple friends wanted to go check out Lake Agnes. We trudged through waist deep snow for over an hour to catch this view.
