Capturing some of the thousands of icicles hanging on a seaside fence after the blizzard. Crashing waves in sub-zero temps caused the salt water to freeze on contact.

We've had a couple of snowy spells but today it's just been confined to the hills leaving the bitter cold air to hang elsewhere brrrr! This is a view looking over some of Sheffield City centre.
Lucerne, Switzerland.
Was digging through the archive and found this. Thought it's a fitting image to upload considering how hot it's been in Perth (40+ degree).

On my recent long drive to Scotland from Plymouth I stopped off in the Yorkshire Dales. I arrived the day after some heavy snowfall, Unfortunately it was now raining and the snow was fast disappearing. There was also a strong cold wind blowing, not ideal conditions. Not knowing the area didn't help but I soon found some nice isolated trees on a small Limestone outcrop. Then it was back to the pub to de-frost in front of the log fire with a pint or two.
Thanks to the owner of the Railway Inn at Ribbendale for kindly letting me park/sleep overnight in the car park :-)
A great start to my four week adventure.
