The snow keeps coming here in Provo this winter. I walked across the BYU campus last week taking photos of some of the snowscape. This bench near the Engineering Building was thoroughly covered and waiting for the thaw. When will it come?

Macro Mondays Weekly Challenge

Theme: " Hot or Cold "

My grateful thanks for your visit, faves and comments! 📷

HAPPY 😊 Macro Mondays!

Don't let that little patch of blue sky fool you......it's COLD! This was right after the snow stopped falling the other day and the storm cleared out. I tried to get out to get the snow still on the trees, but despite the 20 degrees, the second the sun hits the branches the snow melts off. We are just outside the range of the Polar Vortex hitting this week so I will be above freezing. Please take care of yourself if you are in the areas of the dangerous cold!

Well, not so cold, but very wet because of the fog anyway!

I'll be off for a while, am leaving for London today to be at Farnborough air show. See ya!

One cold beer after work...

Sorry my friends, we are still renovating our flat. We have no time for taking photos and surfing the net. So I will visit my friends later this week.

Just share simple story about the simple people activity

Dark days -

Well as the second day without heating progresses - it's time to start wearing a hat indoors.

Fortunately the UK is undergoing a "warm" spell and the outside temperature is 12C, indoors it has dropped to 14C (mainly as a result of having open and close doors as we go about the day to day business of life).

My 99 year old mother-in-law feels the cold badly and normally has her part of the house at 30C has been complaining about the cold. She doesn't seem to remember that the heating is broken for more than about 30 minutes - so she is repeatedly asking me to "turn the heating up", (An electric fan heater is no substitute for a couple of big central heating radiators).

Hopefully the engineer will get the heating back on soon.

We stopped here on our way for Thanksgiving dinner to check on the old folks who live here.

I wondered what they were having for the big dinner. They told me cold cuts.

I shot this place just five days ago. Conditions were great today I had to stop.

I'm standing in this creek barefoot for about 15 min. to capture this shot. I can assure you that Cold Spring Creek is a very appropriate name. This is snow melt directly from Mount Hood. Yes I did arrange the leafs on the mossy rock, but at least I didn't do it in Photoshop :D

Whoa !! This shot was #19 for March 1, 2007 !!

The low light of winter has always been my favorite time of year for photography. I love the cold, and abide by the saying, "There's no such thing as cold weather, only bad clothes."

A cold day.

in the rock just above the place where I found Snakeskin Liverwort.

The cold air is always coming out of these rocks even in the summer.

It was about -12 this day with wind-chill taking it to about -20. This was taken at the top of one of the beginner runs (Grand Pre), but a group of intrepid skiiers were heading around the back of the mountain for a more adventurous descent than usual.

When I was in Oxford back in the late sixties, I lived in Digs and from time to time when my landlady was not around she would leave a "cold supper plate" in the larder for me. Always good! Confession -- this is not real ice but rather "prop ice" made of acrylic for use in photos and movie sets.
