One of my attempts to take pictures of Evan in his R2-D2 shirt. He moves around a lot... but maybe he was a little cold, since I unzipped his jacket for the pictures.
I've narrowed her name to a few choices:
Marina (like marina and the diamonds)
Naomi (like the pink haired girl in a story I am writing)
Eve, Dew, Dawn are the others, any one have any opinions?
These were just some of the birds that came to the feeders last week during the icy weather. I also saw Blue Jays, Carolina Song Sparrow, Robin, and some other unidentified birds.
Scotsman Wattie McDonald's team ran off the trail! He and his handler
were both wearing kilts-- it's a cold hike through deep snow in a
kilt!
Panorama of this morning's sunrise in -18C (-0.4F) weather. It's since warmed up to a blistering -16.6C (2.1F). I was in our outer genkan (entrance) wearing a warm sweater but still got very cold very quickly...
My friend Roger lining up a shot in the snow and the cold... His photos here - picasaweb.google.com/Mystiquephotos - and he made it for the moguls, which I missed... Dang it!
World Cup Freestyle Skiing this weekend in Calgary, the crowd was a little sparse at times, it was also quite cold out
I used this cool multiphoto sketch:

This page is about my daughter and her friends' style during a recent band school trip to Chicago. We live in much-warmer Houston, so we had to go shopping for cold-weather clothes (and my daughter "shopped" in her aunt's closet). The girls ended up being quite stylish in their coats and scarves in chilly Chicago!
I was also inspired by a CSI challenge so added the wreath to mimic the inspiration photo. This is a stash-busting layout - old papers from Scenic Route, Fancy Pants, and Basic Grey.
Thanks,
Cynthia
A period of very cold weather for nearly a week after a heavy snowfall gave time for the roads to be cleared.
One of many beautiful houses in Wycombe . Wycombe burst on the scene in the 1890's when the Northeast Pennsylvania Railroad opened a line through the county.
The villagers originally wanted their town called Lingohocken which was the area's Indian name, but postal authorities felt it would be confused with the town of Wingohocken, another post office in Pennsylvania. The name Wycombe was then adopted. It is an excellent example of a late 19th century Victorian Village and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They did name thier volunteer fire department Lingohocken so the name was saved just not the way they wanted .
colddddd.
and the sun is starting to go down.
It's ridiculous that other places are in the negatives.
i can't imagine weather that cold.
Taken for Our Daily Challenge (Topic: Cold)
I was so excited about this photo, only to upload it and realize that the camera focused on my gloves and not my face =/ grrrr. Self portraits are so hard! I still like it though :)
But that fact of the matter is: I absolutely adore cold weather and most everything about the autumn/winter months. Getting to wear coats, gloves, hoodies, scarves, drink hot cocoa, listen to Christmas music, CHIRSTMAS, Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas lights, SNOW, warm, cozy beds... I love it all!
So for today's photo I wanted something happy :) And it actually is starting to get really cold out! I am so excited!!! :D
