Well, the word "cool" is very appropriate .... I had just been for a good long walk and by the time I returned home I was oh so cold!! Another cold, cold day ... at the moment it is -1C but when I was walking it was -3C!
Anyway, it was good to get back home and have a lovely warm coffee and one of my wife's homemade muffins ~ honestly, I only had one!!

The Facts.
Taken at The Venetian, located on the Cotai Strip in Macao which is considered as the Asia’s Las Vegas.
The water was scooped directly from the Grand Canal.
The splash was created by dropping a round cylindrical black plastic. Clue, it was from Canon. :)
Special thanks to my colleague for allowing me to borrow her coffee mug over the weekend.
Coffee plays a big part of my day, starting with my first pour over, and then espresso, and an iced coffee in the afternoon. Choosing the mug is like choosing what I will wear for the day. It sets the mood. This card was used to ink my fountain pen and brush paint and dab gesso while I made the 'chair' card yesterday...it had such great markings on it already and I could see the shape of this mug! lol Just a bit of stitching and a few fabric bits and it was finished. #daisyyellowart#useitallup#coffeemug#mystudio

I had another image for today until I opened my cabinet and found this mug. I've never seen this mug before and I instantly knew, that this needed to be today's image. I photographed this in front of our garden of tulips. The round shape in the background is my Mother's Day gift, a glass ball on an iron stand.
I added the Viola blossom in memory of my mom. I was in California on what would've been my mother's 68th birthday (on April 12th). I called my DH and asked him to plant Violas for me. He planted a huge patch and sent me a photo from his iPhone. I love that man! And I really miss my mom. Today is indeed, a gift. And this gift is for all of your. ♥♥♥
I apologize for missing everyone's Photostreams this past week. It has been crazy (don't get me started on the dandelion war); and today is another crazy busy day. My nephew goes off to boot camp in a month and we want to spend the day with him. Me & Jack are taking him to the aquarium and out to the Cozy Noodle for lunch. And of course we will be stopping by Molly's Cupcakes ... the Boston Cream & Red Velvet cupcakes are sinfully delicious!!

Let me explain why this is very much strange!! I went for a walk this afternoon and it started to rain, heavily!! I had been listening to music, one of my old playlists, on my AirPods and had five or ten minutes earlier listened to Carole King's classic You're So Vain and if you know that song you will be aware of that line within the song ....
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee clouds in my coffee and You're so vain!
Well, I had just passed a coffee shop and noticed this coffee mug sitting on a wall and in the background, you've guessed it, there were heavy clouds in the sky and from where I was standing they reminded me of that classic song that I had just been listening to!!
Honestly, this is very much the truth ... I couldn't;'t believe it so that was obviously going to be the lyrics I am using for Laura's Challenge of today!!

Well, another horrible weather day, today and not going out for a walk this afternoon ~ thankfully I went to the gym this morning and lost a good number of calories!!
So, I made myself and nice coffee and as my wife was out I thought I would have a macron ... honestly, believe me, I only had one!!

The ground floor is complete... I extended the awning a bit to cover the lady sitting below but it does collide with the bush tree a bit...
As part of my project to radically diversify our coffee mugs, I started buying mugs with semi-famous artworks, and "commissioned" one of a painting I'd photographed in the Hungarian National Gallery on our 2016 visit to Budapest. It came out excellent, even though my shot had a little glare. It's "Dragon Slayer," by Sandor Molnar; I'll put my shot in the comments.
RE "commissioned", this wasn't in the shops' libraries. You have no problem getting mugs with paintings by Hopper, Posada, Klee, and so on. This is just a bit too obscure. But Shutterfly lets you upload images...
Sometimes a magical mug of latte can't be missed! I wanted to get out and about for a nice long walk but that horrible rain put a stop to that!!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Stormtrooper Bruce decided to put a little extra effort into Movie Night for the guys.
Stormtrooper Bruce: Dudes, you're going to love all the goodies I baked for tonight. Plus, there's a cooler of cherry colas, and I even ordered a Special Valentine Pizza from the P! Creepy pink box but still fun!
TK-432: I'm sure it's all good, especially these powdered donuts. You know I love these, right? Oh, here's your card.
TK-1110: Oh, and here's your card, too. Your fruit cobbler looks to die for. Let's dig in to those pizza's so we can get to the desserts!
STB: Wait a minute! What the... Dudes! Are those the cards I gave you a couple of years ago?
TK-432: Well, yeah. You heard the P in his little pep rally the other day. He says we all have to recycle now, everything we possibly can. So we're doing our part.

After spending the morning shopping and finding some excellent deals on clothes, I met up with my parents for tea this afternoon. Mom's been out of town this week, so it was nice to catch up with her and hear the trials of being stuck in airport. Usually flight delays and cancellations are my specialty, but seems Mom is trying to take that away, and you know, I'm okay with that.
So, I didn't spend my day doing nothing. I'm not surprised, I'm very bad at doing nothing, I'm pretty much caught up with what I did decide to get done today though, so maybe tonight I'll sit down and play some Paper Mario or read a bit. Who knows.
Hope everyone has had a nice relaxing Saturday.
Oh also, my parents bought me an immersion blender today! Which was an amazing surprise and superb gift! It will ease the soup making process! Thanks Ma & Pa.

Shot for Macro Monday's theme "Comforting"
I spend a lot of time alone these days with both of the girls gone. But I never really feel alone when I have a good book in my hands. While searching for the 'perfect' book' for today's 'comforting' image; I almost fainted when I spied the spine of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" in Rachel's bookcase!
Just recently, Jackie and I fought over who would get to reread it first after we saw the movie. And of course she won; it is her book after all. When I found Rachel's edition in the bookcase I did a *happy dance!* Thank you Rachel, for buying your very own personal copy!
Top that off with a nice hot steaming mug of Gloria Jean's Mocha Merrimint and by now I bet you can figure out what I am doing for the rest of the day!

Meet me in St. Louie… It was a Lifetime Dream of mine to collect these Starbucks mugs, and what a collection it has turned into. I am traveling to St. Louis tomorrow on business and it makes me kinda disappointed that I have all of the mugs I can get from here to there. I need to start doing site visits in other cities and states I think!

Breakfast is done, a little bit of reading, one more mug of Colombian for a thorough wake up. Bought this mug last night $2.00, so a cheap indulgence, but I like it. And the book is "The Company of Dogs". The photos by William Wegman prove his genius on dog behavior, even if they are only his own. What they will do for him defies reason. :-)
BTW: The Lensbaby is still fun, still a challenge, still a poet.
