I probably like Friday night better than Sunday morning....but I didn't want to "stage" a pizza and beer on Sunday morning. Guess I should have shot it last night....I had the props:)
so like a moron, i accidentally deleted this photo off of flickr. my computer froze and i kept clicking until i clicked "delete".
feel free to comment this again or favorite it or whatever. you don't have to, obviously.
I was lucky that there were a few pieces of my wife's homemade shortbread still left from the Christmas celebrations .... so this gives me three "S's" for today's Challenge and maybe four if the "Spender" is allowed 😉

moving out
september 30, 2012
a few things that mean something
I'm writing this from my new room in Stuttgart, where I moved in only three hours ago. Uni starts tomorrow, and with that today forms the end of my one hundred days of my old life project.
I wasn't fully committed to this project, it was rather a constant companion as I just lived my life this summer. I could have went out and put more effort into photos more often, but I think it was just right the way it turned out to be. I took lots of photos that make me remember all the good times I had. And naturally, the bad ones as well as the ones in between.
I feel like I subconciously chose a direction to follow with the photos I took by leaving out certain aspects. I took lots of photos of home and of the things I did that scream summer. But on some days I kind of failed to show the right moments because I've been a little distracted. I didn't include any of Nina, who I feel like mentioning here because she was a big part of the past one and a half months. But I think that's okay, I will still always think of her, and how happy it made me that she was home, when I look at the other ones I chose, for that's what photos are able to do: Convey feelings and moments that aren't directly present.
The last photo I uploaded was from day seventy five, so there's still ¼ missing of the whole project. But I wanted to officially end this on the right day, and I will upload the missing ones at some point.
I don't think I have a lot to say right now. I'm feeling good here, sitting on the bed my sister borrowed me, with only a few of my own things in the room that I brought from home. Starting this new life tomorrow. I'm excited and less afraid than I thought I would be. And I'm a little glad I can let this project go now, and still look back whenever I feel like it.
20190116_0556_7D2-24 Fill er up
My take for this week's Crazy Tuesday theme (coffee mug). Yes I know it is taken on Wednesday but it is still Tuesday GMT!
A mug was given to each attendee of the 2017 AMRA convention in Porirua, Wellington. AMRA stands for American Model Railroad Association (of New Zealand).
"Fill er up" could refer to the mug with coffee or the diesel genset locomotive with diesel!

My second one-on-one photoshoot with Amber was at the now-closed Thurston Lodge near Bury St Edmunds, a fantastic old house with more props and space than you knew what to do with. We had a whole morning to explore and make the most of the final opportunity to shoot there!

Started the day out right today; bright sunshine, and coffee with a great conversation. A perfect way to start a Saturday if you ask me, sitting at the dining room table and watching the sun rise over the houses. Beautiful.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

So, this is my effort for Week 3 of my Project 52!
This week I've shot something that I've been meaning to try for a long time! I was spurred on by one of my Project 52 groups, whose theme this week is liquid!
I was quite pleased with the results, especially the hot steam rising from the cup, which I hadn't anticipated!
The only problem I had with this shoot was that I had to make another cup to drink after I'd finished, as this one was all over the kitchen worktops! :)
There's little better than starting a cold morning at the campsite with a steaming hot mug of coffee.
This mug is sitting on a picnic table at Memaloose State Park in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon.

Stuck in the house today as this good old "man-flu" is hanging in there! Needs to get better soon as I have a good Saturday pre-planned .......
So, I can make the coffee but I've to keep away from the food! Repetition (to a small degree) four coffee mugs, four coffee spoons and to a (a BIG degree) this has been repetitive - ALL Day!!
Have a great weekend and going to try and catch up with everyone this evening.

My son's girlfriend works at Starbucks, so we get free coffee sometimes:) I also wanted to use these Canada Starbucks mugs to show my love for my country (even if my government has lost its damn mind).
What to do when you are home in the afternoon, all by yourself? Well, nothing wrong with a little "me time" and I might as well make myself a nice warm frothy latte and what's wrong with a delicious empire biscuit, nothing!!

Found this mug on sale just after the Christmas Holidays in a speciality shop for Christmas gift items. It was a good discounted price. As an Aries, I think it fits my personality.
