Thank you!
Its just the right shape and size for a coffee. Ok ok, I know that the insects aren't all bugs, but bug-mug alliterates nicely.

Except that this is my husband's coffee and he puts milk and sugar in it. The REAL nectar of the gods is BLACK coffee, lol!

We go to work hoping to do two things: share great coffee with our friends and help make the world a little better.. It was true when the first Starbucks opened in 1971, and it's just as true today.
Enjoyed a mug of coffee at the cafe today. Chatted with Fredde and had a look at some of the photos in the A Day in the World book. I couldn't find any of my photos. One of the people behind this project, Paul Hansen, won a cool award last week. World Press Photo of the Year. You can see his photo here.

Watching the Northwestern Wildcats defeat the Boise State Broncos in the NCAA basketball playoff. I think it was the mug that did it.
A really pleasant surprise from W since I thought it was just a joke during that night out but here it is - my new coffee mug which is SOOOOO me! :D
Those are some of my favourite things that I own :) *big hugs* Made my day!
Now where's my coffee.... :P
I have just been reading on Dario's food photography blog about using the light from a south facing window in preference to north or west facing (I have been using a north facing window in the mornings), so I thought I would give it a go this afternoon. BUT, of course this will depend on whether you live in the northern or southern hemispheres - Dario lives in Sydney, Australia in the southern hemisphere - like I do in Western Australia. Hmmm...a question for him!
Nothing outstanding about this shot, just testing the south facing window. ISO was 800 and white balance set to shade.
I will give it another go another day with something a bit more creative. In the meantime, anyone for afternoon coffee and shortbread?
Thanks for the tip Dario - check out Dario's blog here - www.foodpixels.com/food-photography-tips/
A slightly different shot of things that might be found on a creative person's desk. Again, just experimenting until I can find the right shot for a theoretical WordPress theme I've been thinking about.
ODC - HOT BEVERAGE - Monday 15th to 21st January 2024 - Got this coffee mug in Death Valley about 15 yrs ago and got Wiley, Pogo and Clementine in Quartzsite, Az, we are stuck home on the Washington coast this winter due to rv problems, so I am trying to keep busy lol. Can't go anywhere when your slides on the rv don't work!
I painted 4 coffee mugs, 1 sugar pot and a milk jar for my friend, to say thank you for coming such a far way for a quick visit.
I made a cow thank you card to go with it. She really likes her cows all over the house.
I quite liked this and would do it again as a gift for someone.
My morning cuppa (ok, I had it in the afternoon...) in one of my favorite mugs (my mom got it at some conference she went to). Of course in light of this page, I'm not sure I like to think about my brain under the influence of caffeine...
