The start of the year for insurance companies is like the day after Thanksgiving for retailers; Open Enrollment kicks in, and the flood of calls begins the busiest time of the year.
For me it's the ideal time to begin re-coding the automation around the reports that will last for the year. With good coffee and good tunes, this is a very productive time of year for me.

K is for KEURIG
Our Keurig machine is the one thing in our kitchen that gets used the most. We kick off each morning by selecting a K-Cup from the carousel, grabbing our fav mug. and then just sit back and wait for it!
For the staging of this K entry, I decided to show off some of the different flavors we enjoy the most, including some seasonal ones not available year-round.
The carousel holds our favorite K-Cups. My sister has the top three rows for her favorites, and I get the bottom two. The back side holds the decaf varieties and gets used mostly when it's late and we just have to have some coffee. If you drink coffee, you probably understand. LOL!
Oh, and not to worry. There's also a variety of teas available for those who aren't big on coffee.

Taken at the Early Girl Eatery in Downtown Asheville, NC. This place is really good, and quickly can become an hour or more waiting time to get in.

My nephew José Sol, who has lived in the United Kingdom with his family for more than a decade, is dedicated to promoting ham and other products derived from the Iberian pig in several countries, including South Korea.
He recently gave me this curious mug, to which I have added a bit of "context" to make the photo.
José does not yet have his own "air force", but he will eventually have one...

The topic for Macro Mondays is Coffee, a topic that's right up my alley. This is my second go at this image, since I lost the first one when some !*#@%^!!&?! got into my computer with ransom ware, locked it up and demanded $300 to unlock it. Fortunately, my wife Sammy got a hold of our computer-genius son while I was on the phone with the crooks, and he told me very emphatically to unplug the computer NOW! So, I did and brought it to our son, who will install a new hard drive, along with Windows 10, and I'll have me a new computer, something I badly needed anyway. Fortunately, most of my stuff was backed up, but I lost a few weeks worth of images that I hadn't backed up yet, including a bunch of images that were sitting in my Flickr folder, waiting to be posted. In the interim, I'm using Sammy's laptop, with which I processed this image, so I'll be able to get along okay until I get my computer back.
Decided to tackle the dresser and closet in the bedroom this morning and of course, no dresser can be sorted and purged without my little helper. If a drawer is emptied, Fyero simply must take a 20 minute nap to inspect the integrity of the drawer.
After numerous delays and many naps; we finally managed to get the dresser sorted out and organized, although if you ask Fyero, we should probably give it a second go-around, just to be sure.

i love learning new things and oh my, this was SO good! i've never tried to make my own chai like this before and i'm sold! this is the only way i want to make it from now on!
.5 C water
.5 C milk
5 whole peppercorns
3 whole allspice
1 star anise
2 cardamom pods
black tea bag or loose leaf black tea
(you could also add cinnamon, vanilla bean, etc.)
warm in a pan over the stove, mix in any sweetener you like (i like agave nectar) and serve! (with or without whipped cream!) :)
also for the groups for the LOVE of COLOR week and sixty-four colors
it's sort of sad, my last mug and the last day of color week!!!

When it comes to street photography I think human traces, like this mug, can be at least as interesting as the people themselves.
One of the great things about camping trips is scaling everything back to the simple necessities. For the five days camping, this was all that was needed to prepare and have meals. And yes, no plate is needed when you eat straight from the pan, making one less thing to clean. Having the table was a bonus since I usually just lower the truck's tailgate and set up on that. One of my favorite morning rituals is grinding fresh coffee beans and enjoying that dark brew in one of my beautiful coffee mugs. Coffee beans can also be covered in chocolate for a high caffeine treat. HMM, everyone ! !
This was a second choice for this weeks Macro Monday group. I didn't choose this one as it's not really a macro. But this whimsical mug is one of my favorites.
