LORELAI: Never mind. Listen, we are very sleepy this morning, so would you happen to have something in a larger size, say a mug, a tureen, a small bowl of some kind?

WAITRESS: We don’t have coffee bowls, I’m sorry.

That is one of my many favorite scenes from my favorite tv show ever!, Gilmore Girls. I was walking through Pier 1 and saw this GINORMOUS coffee cup and instantly had to have it, because well, its more of a coffee bowl.

I have yet to find a good coffeehaus down here, its making me very saddened. I just love their atmospheres.

Yup, they're for sale actually. 😁

this is my favourite summer dessert!!

you need: 1 baked pie shell

a variety of fruit - strawberries, nectarines, blueberries and raspberries or just strawberries arranged in the tart shell

Fruit glaze: 1 C water, 1C sugar, 4 T raspberry jello, 4 T cornstarch, heat until thickened. Pour over fruit and chill and voila! yumm ( a dab of whip cream tops it off)

taken with no light metering, this one is from my first roll on Pentacon Six TL. Lens used: Carl Zeiss Jena 80/2.8 Biometar, film: Kodak Porta (Expired?) 160... I must admit I wasted whole roll since I didn't knew if the camera is exposing properly, so most of the shots are junk, like this one. this mug is the first I do when I get to my work - drink coffee!

I'm trying to do what I can to have a challenge of some sort ahead of time during this 365. Just a different approach to stay motivated. So far it's been pretty cool. It's not so structured so I just have to pick something...keep it loose that way.

Today, I just wanted to make a total faux film shot to play with some software I really never use...

I kinda liked it after working on it for a little bit...lol People ask me all the time what software I use for certain things so, since I figure someone might be interested, a quick n dirty workflow for this shot is below.

I really enjoyed editing this photo and seeing it all come together. A few times while I was working on it I'd hear a plane fly by outside and it felt like my photo had come alive. It was pretty cool.

I've had my eye on this little model plane for a while knowing I was going to do something with it and I think I can see it being in some more future photos too. I have this love for old planes and I wonder if being a Wright has anything to do with it... hm..

This is a composite I put together for Down Under Challenge No. 807, using Sir Frog's challenge image, which you can see in the first comment below.

I've used this coffee mug in previous challenges because it's my favorite, which I never use for drinking coffee. My wife Sammy gave it to me in Wyoming on my 33rd birthday in 1967, as we were fleeing from the inhospitable New England climate to sunny California, and I just love it too much to ever take a chance on breaking it. We were fortunate that we didn't suffer any damage during the recent earthquake and nothing fell out of our cabinets because this mug was precariously close to the front of a top shelf.......

We purchased these a number of years ago in beautiful St Armand's Circle, in sunny Florida! When we are all together we still use them when we sit down for a coffee!

So I finally broke down and got a Daric Harvie original hand crafted Zombie Mug. These are so popular in my area and I wanted one for the last year. I decided to break down and get one as I commissioned him to do a new wall hanging for my office. This classic mug will be a perfect addition to the newly remolded office. Nothing like a zombie to greet me each morning.

Oh, I need to sit down everything's gone so blurry 😉
