In the southern Dominican Republic just south of Barrera, DR, you can see dramatic coastline where you can find the beloved Coccothrinax boschiana. They were relatively newly described to science and are found nowhere else in the world.

Jardin Botanico Nacional Dr. Rafael Maria - Santo Domingo Botanical Gardens. This is a lovely and large botanical garden in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Coccothrinax argentea are natural to the park and old specimens can be found everywhere. The garden does have some very amazing species, however the plant diversity is largely limited to native species, and pretty much every species present at the park can be found in the main entrance.
