Silver Thatch Palm, Coccothrinax barbadensis, family Arecaceae.
This is an erect fan palm found on limestone soils, coastal maritime forests or scrubby woodlands, native to Venezuela and Caribbean islands. Leaf sheath with finely woven fibers. Silvery scales on the underside of the leaf give rise to the common name.
