In anticipation of starting a new business venture i decided to clean my office up..well that ended up in a vision of completely gutting it and redecorating and painting the walls and desk..decluttering, purging and eventually completely new organization as i put it back together...sooo if i am quiet on here you know where i will be..in here working until i get it done..then on to my studio..preparing for the Halloween meet! :)
My sister cuts her husband's hair while their child (Boomer) has long since lost interest in the entire procedure.
The city is not actually *that* cluttered. But shooting it from far away (up on a hill) with a big telephoto lens gives this effect called "perspective compression".

We had to clear out from the girl's rooms so Ken could work there, and so now the office is a mess. Lots of material and tools and no storage space.
I fly to Los Angeles a few times a year to photograph Comic Cons.I usually stay in El Segundo, near Clutter's Park. On this trip I was in LA for 5 days. I walked to Clutter's Park 4 times and was pretty much totally skunked 3 times. Marine layer overcast is common, this time it was more like heavy ground fog. Many times I could barely see from the park to the building across the street, let alone the runways or terminals. While sitting at the park I would check the current LAX weather - clear, sunny, 80 degrees. All lies! However, I manage one good day plane watching - nice mix of heavies and special liveries. This day, plus the LA Comic Con, made the trip worthwhile.
Around 3 pm I noticed the marine layer clouds were forming. Pretty soon the ground fog also started approaching. I was hoping it would hold off until the Condor A-330 landed around 5 pm. It did, barely. Bummer I missed a bunch of stuff after that!
I was so uncomfortable with doing a straight-out-of-the-camera picture. Shooting in JPG and uploading without editing goes against my very nature.
The biggest challenge was deciding what I could possibly photograph that would have enough color and contrast to look good with the rest of the pictures in this project. So I made a rainbow... using nothing but random clutter from my backpack: A spare tail light, nail polish, a keychain, pen, old headphones, and a stapler.
