“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?” - Albert Einstein
Well, since school ended I've been doing LOTS of deep cleaning and de-cluttering. I started with washing the windows inside and out, then tackled the garage, and now, room by room.
Strobist Info:
Flash at 1/64 fired through a homemade gridspot from bag left (as looking at it) to pick out the top of the bag pockets.
Flash at 1/128 fired through a snoot at bag contents from camera right (but quite close to camera).
Fired with 602s
Camera at f8, 1/250sec
Slight colour adjustment (hard light filter) in PS.
Shot for my photo 52 project.
Dirt floor, and I guess the chair is there for the view out the door. I thought my kids rooms were pig stys.
First time trying to change volumes and stations, I managed to just screw everything up. Love the car, not the dash.
Trying to find a space between everything.. Reminds me to try and organize my space a little bit more so I can pop a squat to take a picture so that the flash doesn't catch me of guard.
Random natural objects floating about a pond in Lanark County.
Not included in the shot:
1 soaked tripod & cable
3 overweight frogs
a larger view of the clutter

My desk is a mess. I saw so many better things to take pictures of today, only problem was that I was driving and couldn't stop to take any pictures.
I fly to Los Angeles a few times a year to photograph Comic Cons.I usually stay in El Segundo, near Clutter's Park. On this trip I was in LA for 5 days. I walked to Clutter's Park 4 times and was pretty much totally skunked 3 times. Marine layer overcast is common, this time it was more like heavy ground fog. Many times I could barely see from the park to the building across the street, let alone the runways or terminals. While sitting at the park I would check the current LAX weather - clear, sunny, 80 degrees. All lies! However, I manage one good day plane watching - nice mix of heavies and special liveries. This day, plus the LA Comic Con, made the trip worthwhile.
Around 3 pm I noticed the marine layer clouds were forming. Pretty soon the ground fog also started approaching. I was hoping it would hold off until the Condor A-330 landed around 5 pm. It did, barely. Bummer I missed a bunch of stuff after that!
Panorama of our living room (looking like an appliance sales floor) while some of our floors are being upgraded. It's going to get worse as the bedroom is next and we'll have to move even more stuff into the living room...
