Liping town

It’s worth exploring the small street-alleys that run perpendicularly to Qiao street because they hide a few courtyard houses which are protected by the local government (there is usually a sign with the mention “Architecture Under Special Preservation”). Locals still live in these protected courtyard houses. If the door is open, step in and ask to visit : beyond the architecture itself, the elaborated window wooden cover with carved dragons, flowers and kirin are mystifying.

Beautiful wooden panels are hidden behind modern items and plastic rubbish.

Time to donate some of that stuff to Savers!

My workspace - no wonder I can never find anything!

This is the unorganized mess of a living room I used to have last year. (Still a work in progress!)

I dabbled a bit into the glass collecting thing for a bit, but had to surrender to my first love: Pottery. One obsession at a time I guess.. : )

This railway crossing lies just south of Springfield where a paved farm track crosses the Aberdeen to Edinburgh railway line. This crossing is unique because you have to open the barriers yourself using a lever that you pull back and forth. To get the barriers to drop down again there's a small yellow handle. If you fail to pull the yellow handle you could get fined £25.

As a pedestrian I could have used the gates at the side of the crossing but that's not as much fun as opening the main gates yourself. This crossing is great for the easily amused.

...but I love it....

The old Chicago Northshore and Milwaukee branch to Mundelien used to cross overhead here at Rondout....it is now used as a bike path.....

Finally have time to go through my Myanmar pics and re-process them again!

“Clutter is a physical manifestation of fear that cripples our ability to grow.” - H.G. Chissell

I totally am beginning to believe this as I begin to watch my parents come alive again as the junk gets thrown out, packed up or priced for a upcoming yard sale. . . . clearing the clutter as well as clearing the mind :)

we just started piling things up

(1x5) but where's my printer paper? #3x5 // read my reader. tweeted. paid my cc. left a voicemail. texted back my sister. started a new blog. wrote a new entry & posted some pics. looked up some shoes I would like to have and ordered a giftcard. stepped on a shard of glass. formatted a statement to print. looked for printer paper. put on lip gloss to take a shower??? took a shower. ate lunch. washed some dishes (2x5). did the *right spot* cleaning (3x5). visited my new baby cousin. saw the family, tangled some yarn. saw a movie. ate dinner. inspired and wrote a blog entry. doing more dishes now, then heading to bed.
