Time Zone Clock is a real urban clock where people can read the time. The hours are exhibited in the circles at the top of each one of the 24 timelines. The lines are not straight because the time zone lines of the world often follow the boundaries of countries.

There are twenty six disks showing the twin cities of Coventry embedded into the plaza plus 174 capital cities of the world located in their appropriate time zone.

Designed by Francoise Schein, who said -'Coventry has an important history of clock and watch-making and a collection of sister cities from around the globe'.

Tinker has been fascinated with the clock, he stood for at least 15 minutes just staring, ears moving but that was all, his feet stayed planted in the same position, he wasn't aware we were watching him at all..several other times today he has run back when the clock chimed....I would love to understand what he is thinking..

This is our day. I don't remember where I got this idea, but we cut it out, numbered it, printed and colored images that fit the activity, etc. Now Hali always knows what is next. If she argues with me- I refer her to the clock. Sometimes it even works. Nothing to fancy, very basic, but I wanted it to be something that Hali did a lot of herself.

In the Inner Court. With Henry VIII's Great Hall on the right. According to the internet...the clock was installed in 1540 on the gatehouse to the inner court at Hampton Court Palace. 1929 The company was formed to manufacture clocks in the manner of the German factories. C. Schatz, the main force behind the company obtained suitable premises and brought in machinery and a core of workers from Germany

In 1933 Smiths bought Enfield clocks.

In the late 1940s, the Smiths Group decided to close down the Enfield Edmonton factory.

It is at about this time that The Enfield Clock Co ceased to advertise independently and became just another part of the Smiths Group

My Moor Pool outing of April 2018 included a handy visit to Bearwood for a catch-up on the restoration progress at Lightwoods House. I also had a quick look around the bus station, noting the presence of this elegant blue and gold clock.

The Clock Tower is a landmark in Hong Kong. It is located on the southern shore of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. It is the only remnant of the original site of the former Kowloon Station on the Kowloon-Canton Railway.

Standing 44-metres tall, the old Clock Tower was erected in 1915 as part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus. The once-bustling station is long gone, but this red brick and granite tower, survives as an elegant reminder of the Age of Steam. It has also been a memorable landmark for the millions of Chinese immigrants who passed through the terminus to begin new lives not just in Hong Kong, but in other parts of the world via the city’s harbour.
