Seems as though our household gradually/steadily accumulates clothes hangers, some of which are the clip type as shown at the top of the photo. Instead of discarding them into the trash bin I decided to re-use the clips as closures for opened bags of chips, cereal, etc. It was simple and easy to accomplish with the wire cutters shown and the two different types of pliers also shown.

Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's clipped-wing Supermarine Spitfire LFXVIE TE311/4:DV holding overhead the garden during the 2014 Shoreham RAFA Airshow.
After withdrawal, she spent some time as a gate guard on RAF Tangmere's gate, some 20 miles to the west and after a long rebuild she finally took to the air again - 58 years later.

I have to admit something, I dig my iPhone better than my Canon. Way easier to pack on the horse, not to mention takes no time to get it off my belt and click. The horse likes it better too, they don't have to wait so long for me to take a pic. They get impatient like kids. That would explain the lack of Canon pics in my files these days. I also get a great deal of amusement from short video clips too. I found out my dad doesn't like being in front of the cam, hmmmm, no need to wonder where i got that from. Ha! We had a bit of excitement right after this pic was taken. Sadie decided upon herself to go swimming on her own without me. It was hot! Pretty crazy for an Alberta Autumn. Well, good thing she has a set of lungs on her (for the first time i was grateful) I was able to locate her rather quickly being swept under by rapid currents. Nothing more scarier than trying to reach your dog cliff side, me hanging, barely being able to touch her panic strickened face. I never stripped so fast in my life (not even for the hottest guy) i went in frigid cold temps to save her life and i must of had a guardian angel looking over me. Don't bother scolding me about risking my life for my dog, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. I heard enough from my Mom. My Dad knows better than to say much, besides, he's a man of few words. But obviously not few enough because he told my Mom on me. LOL

Flickr lounge: Macro shots at home
I've been recording the squirrels up in the wood by my swing on a big old Scots Pine. I've been doing it since spring but that was on a trail camera of which the footage was out of focus and silent. I knew they were coming in for the peanuts just minutes after we'd left so I started to put the GoPro up there as the quality of the footage is brilliant and you get sound too. The only trouble is that it only records for 1 hour before the battery dies out and there's no sensor so it just keeps recording. I've been lucky enough to capture a few clips now and look forward to sharing them. Its the first time I've actually been able to hear them and they're so cute. I know of one female who had young in spring and maybe two males, one with tufts on its ears and one without. They squabble sometimes but never seem to hurt each other.
In the early days of the Interstate Highway System this Autocar tractor and streamlined tanker trailer, in the finest of Flying A's livery, were likely the envy of road warriors.
Today they lead a quieter life, while the glory, and apparently the paint, belong to the "Foundation Bred" horses on a farm in Washington's Kittitas County.
