Whilst pacing around my house for inspiration the barbed wire I store on top of the kitchen cabinet caught my eye.

Keen to get the steel wool out again I came to this.

Lit from below with a blue gelled torch then lit some wool held in a bulldog clip moving my hand from side to side from above.

First in a long time....raw conversion with no pp whatsoever.

Shot during a single long exposure using a custom white balance.

Paper clip, sheet of AR glass, white copy paper

This is what it looks like when the hair clip basket explodes all over your daughter's head. :D She decided to put on just about every hair accessory she owns at one time and then asked me to take her picture. LOL!

Processed with a Paint the Moon action.

Another video clip of birds I photographed over the years. Flickr does not treat video very kindly...despite my best intentions, and several uploads in different formats, this is the best video I can drag out of Flickr and Verizon's MiFi at the moment.

My copy of this VERY cool image by Bald Monk: www.flickr.com/photos/baldmonk/2346514750/

This was a shot I had seen type of image and thought that it would be a good one to add to my library of set-up for my Hands-on Flash Classes. It took a while to get it where I wanted it, but I think it was worth the effort.

Some Tech Stuff:

I used the built-in flash as the trigger for the wireless SB-600. I set the power out put to "- -" in the commander menu. There can be a slight burst of visible flash during the exposure, even when set this way. But because of the angle of the camera to the water surface, you can't see it.

I filled the skillet up about half way. About 1.5 inches deep. I wanted the water to be deep enough to hide some of the reflections off the bottom of the pan, but shallow enough to give me some working room between the rack and the water surface.
