St Michael's church at Baddesley Clinton is a small, largely fifteenth century two-cell building, situated some distance from the modern village and reached via a pathway from the National Trust-owned Manor House.
The tower is evidently the work of the same builder as that at nearby Packwood, which is almost identical.
I was told the church was normally open, particularly coinciding with the opening hours of the nearby stately home, but alas was very much locked on this occaision (despite the house being open for visitors). I had to make do with glimpses of the interior and much restored 16th century east window through various plain glazed windows!

Once every year, the Clinton Global Initiative gathers world leaders, CEOs, celebrities, nonprofit groups, and, yes, journalists in Manhattan to address the world's most pressing problems. I reported on the events all week, and there were a slew of compelling discussions, announcements, and breaking news involving the likes of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Kofi Annan, Al Gore, and of course, the former president. Here are some of the week's highlights.

The Clinton River is a river in the Southland Region of the South Island of New Zealand.
The river lies completely within the Fiordland National Park and feeds into Lake Te Anau. The Milford Track follows the river from Lake Te Anau and then up the west branch of the river.

Clinton, Hortense, 12 children. My grandmother, Julia and her twin sister June the youngest. They were in the lumber business in Western Penna. My dad told me that they would forge a raft from timber, pilot it down the river to Ohio, sell the timber, and then go back to Pa. and do it all again. I asked him, "How did they get back?" and he said, "They walked back."
Tough resilient people.
