A funny picture someone sent to me.

Clinton House, originally home to the Wheatley family of which the son, Dennis Wheatley, would become a famous novelist. He wrote mainly thrillers and occult novels during the 1960s and died in 1977.

English Heritage declined to give the building 'listed' status due to its poor condition.

I watched Clinton Anderson warming his horse up before a demonstration. I was absolutely appalled by his riding: it was a very hot day (at least 85 degrees), he rode his horse in an extreme rollkur frame and cantered his horse for about 40 minutes without giving it a break.

This is not horsemanship. This is cruelty.

The scene on 27/6/12 in snowy Clinton on the Main South Line. DXC 5402 and DC 4277 stand with J35 on the main, waiting to receive a track warrant to proceed towards the destination at Edendale.

Clinton is near the highest point of the whole Main South Line and signals here are controlled via the telephone lines from Train Control in Wellington.

Clinton Street was starting to revitalize when this was taken in 1989. The Discovery Center (which would later move to the Armory, expand about a million times in size, and be called MOST) was tucked in one of these buildings. So was Cole Typewriter, one of several typewriter sales and repair stores that wouldn't be in existence just a few short years later. At this time, they were probably realizing that "word processors" weren't going to survive the PC revolution.
