In the photo, John, Debbie & Janet at 'The Food Factory' in Prescott Arkansas visit with Mr. Clinton at a campaign stop during Mr Clinton's run at a second term as Arkansas' Governor. 'The Food Factory' was a family owned sandwich shop in the early 1980's. It would be great if those prices could return.

(This is a scanned print of a photo taken with Canon A1 (35mm). There seems to be some dust on the inside of my scanner, as the print does not have dust spots. Maybe I will have to take it apart for cleaning.)

A medieval moated manor house in a romantic setting... home to the Ferrers family for over 500 years, Baddesley Clinton has changed little since 1633. Henry Ferrers remodelled the house introducing much of the panelling and chimney pieces seen today.

During the Victorian era, it was home to Rebecca Ferrers, a prolific artist. It is believed that the artist's lay figure at Packwood House once belonged to her.

The interesting house interiors are complemented by beautiful gardens which include a lake, stewponds and a newly created vegetable garden.

St Michael's church at Baddesley Clinton is a small, largely fifteenth century two-cell building, situated some distance from the modern village and reached via a pathway from the National Trust-owned Manor House.

The tower is evidently the work of the same builder as that at nearby Packwood, which is almost identical.

I was told the church was normally open, particularly coinciding with the opening hours of the nearby stately home, but alas was very much locked on this occaision (despite the house being open for visitors). I had to make do with glimpses of the interior and much restored 16th century east window through various plain glazed windows!

While it looks to be in rather rough shape, the Clinton Station is still an impressive structure in the center of town. The brickwork is very nice, and there are still some elegant touches remaining on the building for those who look carefully. This depot was two levels, and served both the Boston and Maine, and New Haven Railroads. Freight trains still come through here, but passenger service is long gone.

The Clinton Complex in Chicago (just southwest of the Loop) is a condominium development. I really like the entrance they built that helps link the historic buildings (all built in the late 1800's) together.
