Want to get a closer look at this lighthouse sometime!

Yet another gorgeous section of the Pembrokeshire coastline, with a beautiful array of colours in the rocks, sea and surrounding grassland.

Cliff Palace is the largest cliff dwelling in North America. The structure built by the Ancestral Puebloans is located in Mesa Verde National Park in their former homeland region. The cliff dwelling and park are in the southwestern corner of Colorado, in the Southwestern United States.

Tragically I am moving so I could not retrieve this charming portrait from the rubbish. I did think about hanging it up for my tenants but they are foreign and may be scared by Sir Cliff's greatness.

A gentle looking, medium-sized gull with a small yellow bill and a dark eye. It has a grey back and is white underneath. Its legs are short and black. In flight the black wing-tips show no white, unlike other gulls, and look as if they have been 'dipped in ink'. The population is declining in some areas, perhaps due to a shortage of sandeels. After breeding birds move out into the Atlantic where they spend the winter.

He does this pretty much all the time. A fun sequence photo of a "Rodeo 540" dive, shot hand-held and comped/saturated using GIMP. My camera ran out of memory on the splash shot, and then I accidentally deleted it.

The hard chalk cliffs at Bempton rise are relatively resistant to erosion and offer lots of sheltered headlands and crevices for nesting birds. The cliffs run about 10 km from Flamborough Head north towards Filey and are over 100 metres (330 ft) high at points.

Bempton Cliffs is one of the best places in the England to see sea birds. From April to August more than 200,000 birds live on the cliffs. Adults bring food to their nests and young chicks launch into the air to make their first flights.

Remains of the original settler's house, Cliff Dwellers, Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona. In 1920 Blanche and Bill Russell established a small trading post at Cliff Dwellers, after crossing the Colorado River at Lees Ferry. The remains of their original home is now occupied only by rattlesnakes and the occasional rodents, although souvenir sellers find it a lucrative spot to set up a stand. For many years it served as a restaurant, bar, and gas station, serving ranch hands driving cattle to the Arizona Plateau, and travellers heading to and from Navajo Bridge near Lees Ferry, the only crossing of the Colorado River for many miles. In the 1950's a new lodge was opened a few miles down the road, and the old Cliff Dwellers settlement was left to decay gradually while travellers along Route 89 stop to marvel at the huge boulders that form part of the building.

I found this information from this website: www.lensandbrushes.com/Vermillion Cliffs.htm So, thanks to them for the interesting story.

I've been pretty absent from here lately. It's because I've been quite busy. This past weekend we went to San Diego. It was more of a working getaway because we were there to shoot a vow renewal ceremony. It was an elaborate vow renewal and seemed more like an actual wedding. Between Andrezza and myself, we shot in the neighborhood of 1500 pics! It was quite a bit of work, but we had fun and we got some great images. I'll be sure to share some as we have a chance to go thru them. While there we only had one day to explore around San Diego unfortunately. But we visited the beautiful coastline at a place called Sunset Cliffs. It was gorgeous, with tons of wildflowers, and was indeed the perfect place to catch the sunset. We could have spent so much time there taking pictures! As I have time, you can be sure that I'll be sharing more here.

The view across Brandy Bay to Gad Cliff as the mist draws in. Access to this whole area is limited and it aches to be explored!
