On February 24, 2018, the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a mega cleanliness drive in 637 Government Hospitals in about 275 cities across the country. More than 3.00 lakh SNCF volunteers, Sewadal and other devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission participated in the drive.

Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) has been undertaking Mega Socio - Charitable activities on 23rd February, every year to mark the Birthday of His Holiness Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. The activities included cleanliness drives, tree plantation drives, Cleanliness of Historical Monuments, Railway Stations, Water bodies, Hospitals and many more.
Cleanliness of fruit is an important thing for public health. Fruit should not contain substances or chemicals that cause harm when ingested by individuals.
So in NYC it seems as there is no concept of 'trash day' or garbage cans/dumpsters.
Thus, garbage bags are just piled on the street to be picked up(?) by the garbage men?
It really stumped me.

In Jaipur, the drive was carried out at the main Junction and other local stations – Gandhinagar, Durgapura and Jagatpura. Besides Jaipur, volunteers came from adjoining branches also.

Cleanliness suddenly became an obsessive word! As if it was a byproduct of economic globalisation!! We all want the cities to be clean, the railway stations, airports, buses everything to be clean, without having a problem in the waste (sometimes even toxic wastes) being dumped in localities where only the poor stay.
Well, the dust bins in the cities are now more colourful, 'clean' and attractive. But the 'dust' manages to miss the bin!!
