AKA - Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp, Indo-Pacific White-Banded Cleaner Shrimp, and Indo-Pacific White-Striped Cleaner Shrimp
Scientific Name: Lysmata amboinensis
This Cleaner Shrimp will set up a cleaning station on coral reefs or rubble, waiting for fish to come and be cleaned. It feeds on ectoparasites or dead tissue that it picks from the body and oral cavities/gills of these fish (e.g.; Tangs or Groupers) in the wild or in the aquarium. This also helps to protect the fish from contracting diseases and infections. Many fish value its services so highly that they will allow it to clean the inside of their mouths, and not harm it.
You should never be left without one, make sure you don't...24-hour repairs at the Vacuum Cleaner Center, Elm Grove, Brighton
Make: Maisto
Model: Street Cleaner
Year Produced: Unknown
Livery: Green & blue "City Services"
Purchased: New
Moving Parts: None
Damage: None
Based on: Iveco Truck Chassis
Comments: Maisto got a lot of mileage out of this cab, featuring it on their concrete mixers, dump trucks, scissors trucks, street cleaners, fire pumpers, bucket trucks, and possibly more, originally produced in the late 1990s. A few of them, including this one, are in fact still sold to this day!
One of my favorite street cleaners in what is undoubtedly my ugliest color scheme.
In 2016 or so, Maisto introduced a new street cleaner and garbage truck to replace their older street cleaner and garbage truck models. While they discontinued the older garbage truck, the older street cleaner is oddly still produced alongside the new one as of 2020.
Well, what to make of this strange construction? No doubt it's a window-cleaner's dream (although I'm not sure how anyone would clean the glass on the river facing edge, from the top perhaps?) I'm pretty sure this has appeared within the last 2 years.

Dave Rothwell "As I mentioned a week or two ago the dry cleaners used to be Harry Kays Plumbers - As I lived next door I used to call him Uncle Harry. There used to be steps up to his shop exactly like the ones next door at what was the Cribden Court. The steps were removed in the mid sixties to convert the building to the dry cleaners. The shop as exists at present is actually half way between what used to be the cellar and the first floor, the rear of the shop drops to what was the original ground floor level. Harry used to solder up lead pipes and cut glass in the old front cellar. In the first floor shop he sold electrical items, torches, batteries etc. he and his wife had no kids so they adopted myself and my sister. The floor above the shop was a flat Harry rented out. At one time Harold Barton who was the manager at Boots in Higher Deardengate rented it. Harold had a small mustace if anyone remembers him."

A dry cleaners is set to close its doors after almost four decades of trading.
Deardengate Dry Cleaners, in Haslingden, has been an institution for 37 years since opening in 1980.
Tony Whelan, 52, took charge of the business four years later with his wife, Yvette, when his father Nick became too ill to continue running it.
Yvette, 49, says the couple, who live on Deardengate, are moving on to realise their dream of living abroad which will benefit Tony’s health.
Tony, who took over the business aged 17, says the shop has been like a hub for the community.
He said: “All I can say is that it’s a bit like Coronation Street, people come in for a chat about their problems.” The couple are moving to a town near Seville in the south of Spain.
The father-of-three says he didn’t want to force his sons into taking over the business but says there is interest in the shop.

A dry cleaner sign in Hobbs, New Mexico. Couldn't make out the name on the sign. No matter, the fact that they're a cleaners is clear, and that's probably all most people need to know.
As we begin to get into Butte proper, we find Vogue Cleaners.
Their sign proclaims a universal truth; "There's only one leader". Since Vogue is no longer in business, history says, it wasn't them.
Now, if having a nice, bright, colorful sign counted, they would indeed be the leader.

This is a photo of Star Cleaners in Penticton, BC, before it was demolished in April 2007. I now have about 2000 interior, exterior and demolition photos that will eventually become an online slideshow. Here is a close-up of the metal screens. (32a))
And here is a small slideshow of the interior when I explored it.
You'd think with a valet as a sign proclaiming the quality of this cleaners on 4155 Piedmont Ave. Apparently not.
