Whoa, a contemporary window cling design at a dry cleaners. You almost always see designs from the 1980s, such as these, in the windows of dry cleaners, beauty salons, shoe repair shops, etc. This specific cling is only $49.95 plus tax and shipping.
Hank always thought there are a couple benefits with creaking middle age; you finally get to the point where you don't care much what folks think of you and you are comfortable with what you know and what you don't know. Sneaky Pea was long shot; Hank knew that going in- sometimes he hates being right. When he got back to the station the desk Sergeant informed him another building burned, this one an old abandoned tool and die shop in the same area down by the bridge. Hank thought, one or two fires is a coincidence, six is a conspiracy. Maybe now the guys in the station will believe him. They had all been chalking the fires up the general crime trends. Buildings burn every day in the city, some by accident and others by arson. Hank knew better but the answer wasn’t in the station it was on the street.
He jumped in his car and headed over to the east side. Maybe his first collar, old Crazy Max Steiglitz can provide a few clues. Crazy Max was once a minor legend in Detroit. He got started running errands for the Purple Gang as a kid growing up on Oakland Avenue. He spent a few stints up in Jackson, the last one on a collar by newly promoted detective Hank Willie Hall some 30 years back. Since he got out Crazy Max has been running a small cleaners over off Davison.
Hank pulls into the back alley and knocks on the back door, “Max, open the door.”
Using the cat like caution of merchants surviving in this area, he slowly opens the door keeping his shoulder and body weight pressed against the door. Then he racks the shot gun with his free hand, “Who the hell is it?”
“Max, it’s me, Detective Hall. Put the shot gun down”
“You gotta’ warrant?”
“I just need to ask you a few questions. Give me five minutes.”
Max opens the door and scans the alley while letting Hank in.
“I’m not in the business anymore. I don’t talk to my old contacts and I don’t talk to cops. Make it fast.”
“What do you know about the fires around the bridge?”
“Nothin’. Why you askin’ me?”
“I have run into dead ends. Two firemen died fighting the last one.”
Max flopped into his desk chair. “I heard about that. I hate you guys, but the firefighters are alright, they pulled me out of a building when I was kid. I haven’t heard anything, read in the Free Press they are not connected.”
“I think they are. I think the bastards behind them have worked like hell to make them seem random.”
Max pauses for a minute. Puts his glasses back on, looks at Hank and says, “There are two types of people that do crazy shit like this. One type is in it for the rush, the thrill of stickin’ it to the man. The other type is more dangerous. They are in it for the money and the power. Now if I’m the type that is doing it for the rush, in the back of my mind I want to be caught, I want the stage. These guys are leaving no clues. I’d follow the money.”
“Ok. What money? Half the damn buildings were falling down and uninsured.”
“Typical cop. Looking at the nickels and dimes while the big bills are being passed right in front of you. Think bigger”
“Oh, come on. You can’t be serious. The guy’s a billionaire. He could just buy the buildings up cash.”
“Do you think he got those billions by being a choir boy? The guy ain’t Warren Buffett.”
Hank knew he was getting in deep and over his head, again.....
Early vacuum cleaner made and patented by A. S. Isles & Co., Birmingham, in the 1890s. 'Daisy' was a registered trademark, part of which was an image of the eponymous flower.
The machine has a wooden body on four iron wheels with spokes, attached to the cleaner are four handles and an iron drive-wheel with a wooden handle. Inside are bellows, a dust box and an inlet for its hose.
This is a carpet cleaner for a wealthy household. It took two people to operate it; one turning the wheel to produce a vacuum from the bellows and another to direct the hose nozzle.

Manchester Airport has a broad and effective transport access strategy. In addition to the M56 motorway running to the west of the Airport, it is linked to the national railway network by a spur off the Styal loop. Like many other airports, its parking charges form a large part of its land side income – eye watering or purse lightening are terms that spring to mind. However, Manchester’s integrated transport interchange, probably paid for in part by parking motorists, is a model for public transport. The railway station supports local and regional services to destinations as far north as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle whilst to the east trains runs to Cleethorpes via Sheffield and Doncaster. Other new routes are under future consideration. These include direct trains to Wales and the East Midlands. The station’s three existing platforms are worked intensively with two trains routinely stabled on the same platform. Every TPE train coming into the airport picks up an on-board cleaner at Manchester Piccadilly who, during the 15 minute run, picks up litter and empty bins to reduce dwell time. To meet the increasing demand a fourth rail platform is being built at the airport together with platforms for Metrolink, Manchester’s tram system which is now being extended south from the city centre via Wythenshawe. The tram system will eventually be extended under the Airport interchange building onwards to Davenport Green – the location of outer Manchester’s planned HS2 station It will then head north via Wythenshawe Hospital on to Baguley where it rejoins the original Wythenshawe Metrolink line closing the loop.
In addition to Rail and Metrolink, the Airport has a large bus and coach station
I found this old flag and asked where it used to be put on the train and that was where one of the cleaners said they used to put it many moons ago when they still used these.

I got a shiny new vacuum cleaner today! $30 off because it was the ex-demo one that was opened today. Huzzah.
Not strictly a Finsec event, but here's a few photos of the Service and Food Workers' Union Nga Ringa Tota rally in Wellington on International Cleaners Day.
The 'Fair Deal for Cleaners' campaign that this rally is part of aims to provide a voice to the low-waged largely immigrant female workforce, in cities across Australia and New Zealand, who are calling on big property owners to support decency in their workplaces.
Then, put the cleaner head on the sensor to vertical gently to remove dust.
I was afraid to use it, but it worked great.

London Living Wage protesters target Topshop's flagship store and John Lewis on Oxford Street - London, 12/03/2013
A large crowd of activists representing cleaners and e-couriers who are demanding to be paid the London Living Wage protested outside sweat-shop sourced fashion clothing retailer Topshop's flagship store on Oxford Street before marching the short distance to the John Lewis department store which they entered en masse to hold a short but noisy protest, much to the bemusement of shoppers. The good-natured campaigners claim that the Minimum Wage is simply not enough to live on, and all the cleaning staff at both stores have to claim benefits from the state just in order to survive. Topshop, which is owned by billionaire tax-avoider Sir Philip Green, has recently dismissed a petition presented to them by their underpaid sub-contracted (for tax purposes) cleaners pleading for better pay to lift them out of the nightmare of in-work poverty.

I was looking to purchase a new vacuum and a Dyson was on the top of my list, that was until I saw the shark vacuum cleaner nv22l in action. The price of shark vacuum cleaner nv22l was lower than a Dyson and all the demonstrations I watched showed shark vacuum cleaner nv22l was superb. I checked around and found the lowest price here on Amazon.com so the order was placed and within three days the shark vacuum cleaner nv22l arrived. The shark vacuum cleaner nv22l was easy to put together and I was ready for my first test run within 5 minutes. I was amazed how much dirt and dust was picked up from my carpet and how clean it looked afterwards. The attachments of shark vacuum cleaner nv22l work great

This is always an enjoyable piece of fish behavior to observe on a coral reef: a cleaner wrasse inspecting the body of another fish (here a damselfish) for parasites and infections. The wrasse then eats the parasite, the fish is healthy again, and the cleaner wrasse had a nice meal. Win-win.

The cleaning station at Lighthouse bombie brings the mantas from far and wide. The little cleaners scurry about eating away any buildup of debris that impacts the mantas ability to operate efficiently. The cleaners get doordash and an endless supply of food. The water clarity was affected by strong winds and strong currents as the weather changed for the worse. The upside was almost no one was diving so I could focus on the action and seek compositions that are normally not possible without risking scaring the animals away.
