An Eastern Cleaner Clingfish (Cochleoceps orientalis). Manly Cove, Sydney Harbour, NSW
Cleaner Clingfish eat small parasites from the skin of larger fishes, and fish with an itch may actively seek out a "cleaning station" where a Cleaner Clingfish has set up business. The larger fish benefits from improved hygiene and the Cleaner Clingfish benefits from a free meal. This is an example of mutualism.
As with any business, it's best to set up in a prominent position, such as the top of a tall bommie or on a colourful sponge. Artificial objects are often even more brightly coloured than natural ones, and I have seen Cleaner Clingfish set up on fluorescent pink ribbons and scraps of reflective aluminium foil to increase their visibility and get the edge over their competition. In this case a bright blue NSW Fisheries tag is the perfect spot.

Whoa, a contemporary window cling design at a dry cleaners. You almost always see designs from the 1980s, such as these, in the windows of dry cleaners, beauty salons, shoe repair shops, etc. This specific cling is only $49.95 plus tax and shipping.
Hank always thought there are a couple benefits with creaking middle age; you finally get to the point where you don't care much what folks think of you and you are comfortable with what you know and what you don't know. Sneaky Pea was long shot; Hank knew that going in- sometimes he hates being right. When he got back to the station the desk Sergeant informed him another building burned, this one an old abandoned tool and die shop in the same area down by the bridge. Hank thought, one or two fires is a coincidence, six is a conspiracy. Maybe now the guys in the station will believe him. They had all been chalking the fires up the general crime trends. Buildings burn every day in the city, some by accident and others by arson. Hank knew better but the answer wasn’t in the station it was on the street.
He jumped in his car and headed over to the east side. Maybe his first collar, old Crazy Max Steiglitz can provide a few clues. Crazy Max was once a minor legend in Detroit. He got started running errands for the Purple Gang as a kid growing up on Oakland Avenue. He spent a few stints up in Jackson, the last one on a collar by newly promoted detective Hank Willie Hall some 30 years back. Since he got out Crazy Max has been running a small cleaners over off Davison.
Hank pulls into the back alley and knocks on the back door, “Max, open the door.”
Using the cat like caution of merchants surviving in this area, he slowly opens the door keeping his shoulder and body weight pressed against the door. Then he racks the shot gun with his free hand, “Who the hell is it?”
“Max, it’s me, Detective Hall. Put the shot gun down”
“You gotta’ warrant?”
“I just need to ask you a few questions. Give me five minutes.”
Max opens the door and scans the alley while letting Hank in.
“I’m not in the business anymore. I don’t talk to my old contacts and I don’t talk to cops. Make it fast.”
“What do you know about the fires around the bridge?”
“Nothin’. Why you askin’ me?”
“I have run into dead ends. Two firemen died fighting the last one.”
Max flopped into his desk chair. “I heard about that. I hate you guys, but the firefighters are alright, they pulled me out of a building when I was kid. I haven’t heard anything, read in the Free Press they are not connected.”
“I think they are. I think the bastards behind them have worked like hell to make them seem random.”
Max pauses for a minute. Puts his glasses back on, looks at Hank and says, “There are two types of people that do crazy shit like this. One type is in it for the rush, the thrill of stickin’ it to the man. The other type is more dangerous. They are in it for the money and the power. Now if I’m the type that is doing it for the rush, in the back of my mind I want to be caught, I want the stage. These guys are leaving no clues. I’d follow the money.”
“Ok. What money? Half the damn buildings were falling down and uninsured.”
“Typical cop. Looking at the nickels and dimes while the big bills are being passed right in front of you. Think bigger”
“Oh, come on. You can’t be serious. The guy’s a billionaire. He could just buy the buildings up cash.”
“Do you think he got those billions by being a choir boy? The guy ain’t Warren Buffett.”
Hank knew he was getting in deep and over his head, again.....
I found this old flag and asked where it used to be put on the train and that was where one of the cleaners said they used to put it many moons ago when they still used these.
I got a shiny new vacuum cleaner today! $30 off because it was the ex-demo one that was opened today. Huzzah.
Then, put the cleaner head on the sensor to vertical gently to remove dust.
I was afraid to use it, but it worked great.

Cleaner than it was found.
A roach was dead in the shower. I did not use this shower at all.
The toilet in this bath would barely flush, btw.
