What is there to do on a monday? Rollers of course!
Decided to brush the dust off the 5D and take some shots of Nelson's Turbo RSX.
Normally, wells are cleaned once a year or maybe twice a year, in this part of the country where in some areas water is scarce, but in this particular instance, the home owner's had accidentally dropped a iron bucket into the well about 6 months back, and the water had started to taste of rust, so this guy was employed to remove the rusty bucket from the well, and also clean the water.

Yesterday, Mr Chiots and I spent most of the day cleaning out the garage. It had gotten a little out of control. Since we’re going to starting building our little teardrop camper soon, we needed to tackle it first. We have a large side workshop attached to our garage which was packed full of stuff. I moved some wooden shelves down from our attic to give me space to store all of my terra-cotta pots, burlap and other supplies.
Out of all the days I was in Chicago, I only showed up to downtown once at dawn. The skies were sort of bland so I took a few shots then left to have some breakfast. The clouds came around 9am and I headed back to Millennium Park. I found this gentleman cleaning the Bean (Cloud Gate Sculpture). I always wondered when they cleaned the bird poop and hand prints.
The cleaner, Neri, was kind enough to allow me take his picture. I think this was my favorite one out of the handful of shots.
note: I took down Neri's email address so I can send him copies of the picture but the email just bounced. sad. he seemed pretty enthused to get some photos.

Amidst growing concerns about clean-energy jobs going overseas, this conference will discuss what it will take for the U.S. to regain its competitiveness in the global clean energy economy.
The Apollo Alliance and Center for American Progress will bring together policymakers, academics, business and labor leaders, and other experts to discuss what policies will support the United States in becoming not only a consumer of clean-energy technologies but also a leading producer of them.

Cleaning up the seams was mostly a matter of waiting a little bit, and then using a fluffy brush to lightly brush off the cup. It's not super clean yet, but I'll wait one or two days to have the lacquer cure a little before I do a more thorough cleaning.
A group of core networking volunteers and friends from past events (like What the Hack 2005, Hacking at Random 2009, Chaos Communication Camp 2011, Observe. Hack. Make 2013) needed to make alterations to a few kilometers of fiber optic cable to be ready for upcoming events such as Chaos Communication Camp 2015, Campzone 2015 and SHA2017.
This turned into a fusion splicing (fiber splicing) workshop.
On the occasion of the 65th World Health Assembly, the missions of the United States, Norway and Kenya along with the World Health Organization and the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves partnered to present Clean Cookstoves: Home is Where Health Begins, a panel discussion with experts from the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Health Organization, the UN Foundation's Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the Kenya Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation.

Around the start of the new year, everything comes off to accommodate the new. The old is stored in a large envelope.
Had some cleaning this week-end. Actually IT IS clean except when one look from so close... I'm surprised how durty it looks like on this picture.... quite frustrating
