On a recent gig, I was shooting photos of a dental office to be used for their website. In addition to portraits of the dentists, hygienists and staff, I shot some of the equipment. Here is a shot of the standard setup for cleaning a patient's teeth.
Shooting the different locations in the office was challenging due to the multiple types of lights used. In all the exam rooms, there were fluorescent lights and tungsten. In most cases, I just turned off the fluorescent light and overpowered the ambient tungsten with my flash. I wanted to create the same look that the overhead lights would make, so I simply bounced my off camera flash off the white tiled ceiling.

Strobist: 580 EX II on light stand bounced. Don't recall the power, but it was probably in the neighborhood of 1/16 to 1/32 since I was shooting wide open to get the shallow DOF. My trusty Radio Popper JrX's were doing the triggering.

There are various causes of water damage such as leak, clogged drains and building problems. But the mainly vital and hazardous cause of water damage is leak. A busted supply line/leaky pipe, a leaky roof, overflow of water from a sink or bath tub, and the breakdown of a machine that carries water are some factors. There are two types of leaky pipes, one that drips gradually and/or only when water is passing through the pipe and one that produces a constant spray of water. Leaks that occur only when water flows through the pipe are hard to detect because the water has a chance of drying. There are some tips to be followed to decrease water damage caused by leak.

The Supersport was the precursor to the XR2, sold to test the water. Its quite amazing how many of these MKIs have survived, but they were ahead of their time and very much a classic/retro car, with a wide appeal. I bet these ones are worth quite a bit now, this one was ridiculously clean.

these tiles hadn't been cleaned in forever, so i sprayed them down with my all-purpose spray on the tiles and let it sit for a couple of hours (it helps if the tiles are already wet). the spray is borax, white distilled vinegar, hot purified water, and dr. bronner's liquid castile soap (it's made with all organic oils; i like almond best). the recipe comes from clean house, clean planet.
i then get in the cracks with the brush pictured here--it's flexible and the most ergonomic, from what i can tell abt what's on the market, supplemented by an old toothbrush. i use the same brush on the tub and the sink, with the gunk you see in the kombucha bottle on the tub here. that's made with baking soda (which i scent with essential oils, whichever ones i feel like), dr. bronner's liquid soap, and vinegar. recipe from the same aforementioned book. i like using the kombucha bottle because, well, i drink a lot of kombucha, it's refillable, and it comes out of the bottle easily. ok, i did break one once when it fell in a tub.
by the way, i use a separate set of rubber gloves for the kitchen and bathroom.

This shot was really emotional to take - it's from along the former front line of the battle for Mostar, with building work going on all over the area, even after more than 13 years after the war.
As I wrote before in my earlier pics from Mostar, the hopeful feeling of seeing things rebuilt and people being so friendly lets you see that there are always other options than bitterness and hate.
Here it feels that you can clean out the past and make room for better things to start anew.
The landlord of the house was cleaning out the junk that the tenants left behind. He bought new garbage cans and tossed out the old ones. One was thrown away, another I donated, and the last 2 I kept for myself. A kitchen can was also thrown away. I doubt CR&R will pickup piles like this from all the rentals on the peninsula.
