When I asked her to describe herself, she said " ... gregarious, sensitive, hopeful ..."

Available light was from the kitchen windows. Attempting to get deeper richer tones, I shrank the aperture too much, with ISO 6400 a by-product, and, of course, a lots of noise! I have not tried to clean that up in these images. Instead, I resorted to sepia in two of the shots, resulting in the noise being slightly less obvious.

I find it quite challenging to attend to all the technical necessities while chatting with the subject. But, being housebound now, portrait and bird photography are two horizons for growth I can take on. Am sharing with you my maiden efforts, with all their imperfections. Elizabeth is beautiful and I hope to invite her to sit for me again after I have a little more experience with portrait photography.

I really like the composition of this one and got lucky given I only had to trip the shutter 1 time today. This is not cropped. The reason i like this composition so well is these bushes line the entrance to the parking lot of my workplace. there are 2 rows of about 30 plants in each row. I have worked here for over 6 months. 4 times a day, 5 days a week for 6 month i drive past these bushes and today is the first day I noticed them.

If it weren't for Poppy and her Mum..I would still be sitting on that dusty shelf!! They made Mommy put some clean clothes on me and I fixed my hair and then I got to go out and play in the pumpkin patch!

I love these boots. I've trudged many miles in these I've had them going on 8 years. Plenty of life left in them yet and no cleaning will be done. Desert life is definitely better in boots.
