So I spent the evening last night cleaning the living room and kitchen. A bomb went off. But now it's clean. I've never seen it this clean so I had to buy flowers today and post a pic for all to see my clean house (yes people, imagine!) and my pretty flowers!

edit: my mother and i just had a rubber-band/hand to hand combat eye-poking fight via skype. as such, without skype, the world would be a much less amusing place :D

And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.
I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick...
I was just admiring my good work.
I didn't mean to 'click.'
But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.
So nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's as shiny as the sun.
I guess my house will stay a mess.....
While I sit here on my bum.
Ok, not completely clean, but a lot better than it was before. At the end of last year I had over a hundred icons on my desktop. I'm sort of in the habit of dragging anything interesting out there to look at later. Of course, it got to be too much and a cleanup was needed. The wallpaper (although an old one) is also an indication of my current build inspiration...

This morning, 25 March 2013, Greater Manchester Police conducted a series of raids as part of a big spring clean operation intended to sweep offenders off our streets over the coming days.
Officers are working across Greater Manchester as part of an operation to ensure that crime does not peak over the spring holiday period. At a time where we often see an increase in antisocial behaviour, burglary and robbery we will be making sure that the area becomes a hostile environment for criminals while the good people of our communities are kept safe.
Part of the operation will be focused on working with partners to provide support for vulnerable victims. Officers from the public protection department will be targeting offenders of vulnerability crime such as sex offences in order to take positive action against them.
Assistant Chief Constable Ian Wiggett said: “This operation is about cleaning up our streets and sweeping up crime. If you are wanted by the police, I would advise you to turn yourself in or you will find yourself a target for our spring clean.
“Today marks the beginning of an operation, where criminals will be hearing the sound of wham rams forcefully knocking at their front doors. Officers from every division will be targeting offenders who commit any type of crime and threaten any of our communities.
“At this time of year, as the days get longer and the weather gets warmer we generally see an increase in anti-social behaviour and acquisitive crime such as robbery and burglary – particularly through people leaving windows and doors open or sheds and garages unlocked after spending time outside. We ask that you look out for each other, you take care of your personal belongings and that you report any antisocial behaviour to your neighbourhood teams so we can deal with the problem.”
Officers from the tactical aid unit, traffic, ANPR officers, mounted police, dog handlers and special constables will be out supporting each of the divisions on seeking out their most wanted.
An ad-van will be out across Greater Manchester to name and shame offenders who have no choice but to turn themselves in.
Neighbourhood teams will be engaging with local communities and street cleaning projects will be taking place in some areas with partners and community payback teams.
