Little Wattlebird (Anthochaera chrysoptera)

This one was deciding which Gum Flower to dine on.

I haven't seen any of these in the usual local spots this year.

I enjoy participating in Macro Mondays challenges each week. Usually it takes a while to find a subject; sometimes I don't succeed.

But this week for 'corner' I have too many ideas.

Three in my triptych:

1 of 6 corners of a hexagonal small pottery coaster with leaf motif made by Clare

a book corner of a slim volume: Irène Némirovsky's 'Ida'

a corner of a flowery birthday gift bag

posted for Sliders Sunday -- Post Processed To The MAX!

My entries always need much processing, including a disproportionate amount to ensure that the macro fits within a strict size.

Anyone for a Cuban cigar? Cigar factories and associated storefronts are plentiful along Calle Ocho, the main street in Little Havana, Miami's Cuban American neighborhood.

sometimes I am confused to decide what to choose, much like what to wear and look trendy (which I suck at basically) - sometimes what mood to put myself into just confuses me enough to sit down and ponder and hence the "random thoughts" :)

Wishing everyone a great "happy" weekend ahead :)

This is the side of a kindergarden care center and their choice of color and trim really caught my attention.

Iris 'Darcy's Choice' is one of my favorites. It came as a freebie with an order from Schreiners, whose catalogue incites me to order more iris than I have space for - but that doesn't seem to stop me ... At any rate, I love this bi-tone for its perfect form, lovely ruffles, and striking colors.

The latest headlines remind us that plastic is everywhere, with its ability to change the landscape of our world, as well as harm all life forms.

It only seems right that a plastic pollution-free world is not a choice but a commitment to life – a commitment to the next generation.

Happy Bench(es) Monday! I saw this display of benches during one of my multiple trips to our local big box home store and thought it worthy of a Monday HBM post. Hope you like it and have a terrific week!

Purple-crowned Lorikeet (Parvipsitta porphyrocephala) juvenile

Sorry to be posting so many images of the young Lorikeets, but I had a lot of fun photographing them on Friday.

I love this one's expression as it looked to choose which flower to dine on next.

Part of my themed month of flowers, Japanese fans and more Here

I just couldn't make my mind up between this colour version and B+W rendering of a sprig of freesias. So I have uploaded both versions together, to see which you prefer ;o)

The mode dial at the top of my camera measures .75 inches across. HMM, everyone.

My 2nd choice for the texture theme , decided to go with my brick choice .

Two crossing streets, named industry street and Church street. Due to the location it was very clear what the options people had were.
