The description at the car museum says that this model, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Hardtop with Chevy's 283 V-8 Engine, is the most sought after classic car ever. I was smitten by its color and trim.
1948 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck street rod. I photographed this hot rod truck Saturday September 11th at Hickory Corners, Michigan while attending the Gilmore Car Museum's 2-day Ultimate Truck Show. This vehicle came all the way from Erie, PA. I thought it was worth a little bit of my time to create an AutoArt poster even though I accidently took the shots of the truck at a very high ISO which resulted in a horrendous amount of noise in the image. What a clumsy photographer! I decided to go ahead with the project even though it is far from sharp. Thus, I didn't spend much time on it. It is what it is.
Quand on revient de vacances, grâce ou à cause du numérique on a des milliers de photos. Finalement il en reste trois ou quatre, celles qui vous restent dans la tête au moment où on les a prises. Elles ne sont pas parfaites techniquement, pas inoubliables artistiquement mais ce sont celles qui restent.

C'est ma vision de l'Amérique, un cinéma des années 50 et une voiture des années 60-70 (pardon pour les spécialistes).
Pour moi l'Amérique restera le pays du Cinéma même si ce sont des français qui l'ont inventé et le pays de la voiture, des voitures aux formes sensuelles...
Dommage que désormais les cinémas ressemblent aux nôtres et les voitures à tout ce que l'on croise sur le périphérique...
This car brought back memories. I owned one; yellow, hardtop, two-door. Same interior as this one. College transportation. It was an older used car but cool.

I'm certain it's a Chevy, and I'm certain it's a firetruck (or once was); I'm less certain of the year and model... my guess is 1950 1-ton (3500?)... help !
Chevy Chrome
Another shot from the Darling Buds of May Classic Car show in July 2016. If I'm not mistaken this headlight/sidelight explosion of chrome is from a 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air. Strange to think it was built before I was born and I'm 55!
From Wikipedia: For 1958, Chevrolet models were redesigned longer, lower, and heavier than their 1957 predecessors, and the first ever production Chevrolet big block V8, the 348 cu in (5,700 cc), was now an option. Chevrolet's design for the year fared better than its other GM offerings, and lacked the overabundance of chrome found on Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, Buicks and Cadillacs. Complementing Chevrolet's front design was a broad grille and quad headlights that helped simulate a 'Baby Cadillac'; the tail received a fan-shaped alcove on both side panels, which housed dual tail lights.
Despite being a recession year, consumers made Chevrolet the No. 1 make of automobile (beating Ford, which held the title in 1957) and the Bel Air was at the core of Chevrolet's popularity. With its wide variety of body styles and models, Bel Airs could be optioned with almost every conceivable luxury within the Chevrolet line. The Nomad station wagon name also reappeared in 1958 when the vehicle bowed as the premium four-door Chevrolet station wagon, lacking the unique styling of the 1955-57 Nomads. Most Chevrolet station wagon models had two tail lights housed in abbreviated alcoves, which were made smaller to accommodate the rear gate. A new dash was used.

For 1965, the styling of Chevrolet’s full-size model such as the Impala changed significantly. “Coke Bottle” styling in which the fender line was arched over the wheel wells was introduced as was curved side window glass. Its popularity contributed to a phenomenal 10 million car sales year n the US for 1965.
This one apparently shows an emblem for the 327 cu. in. V-8 engine.

General Motors certainly had it right with their various models of the 1950's. None were finer than the 57 with its sweeping rear fins and regal front end. I took this image and the one below last night while attending cruise night in downtown Winnipeg.

Went to see our favorite band play at a new venue, Bally Keal Estate Winery in Fairfield, California...The owner had a small but very nice transportation collection that included 15 cars, a delivery truck and a helicopter housed in a barn with a makeshift old diner and gas station...
We will return because we joined their wine club...lol
