"If you were coming in the Fall,
I'd brush the Summer by
With half a smile, and half a spurn,
As Housewives do, a Fly.
If I could see you in a year,
I'd wind the months in balls -
And put them each in separate Drawers,
For fear the numbers fuse -
If only Centuries, delayed,
I'd count them on my Hand,
Subtracting, till my fingers dropped
Into Van Dieman's Land.
If certain, when this life was out -
That your's and mine, should be -
I'd toss it yonder, like a Rind,
And take Eternity -
But, now, uncertain of the length
Of this, that is between,
It goads me, like the Goblin Bee -
That will not state - it's sting." (Emily Dickinson)
A very magical place. The châtaigneraie contains some of the oldest chestnut trees in Europe--anywhere from 700 to over 1000 years old. The Fundazione di Corsica manages 10 acres of these trees. For more information on the Fundazione see: www.afcumani.org/

Pomeriggio di pasquetta con Frank. Dopo 9 anni ho rivisto quest'albero....tutti invecchiamo.
I cancelled my TV subscription service some six years ago.
I just had it with all the superficial shows, putting a lot of garbage into my brain.
Although there were and are a few Dutch programs I love(d) to watch.
Thanks to the great internet I can watch my favorite talkshows or well made
documentary-like programs online. Some in real-time, some a few hours later.
If I want to watch a movie I go to the cinema or watch it on DVD. That's why I still have a television set in my living room.
If I want to see some Reality TV I open up the curtains before the large window of my appartment.
A view on a little train station with trains that come and go; a highway with trucks, cars, busses and motorbikes.
Pedestrians going to or coming from work, walking their dog or themselves.
A variety of life, just in front of my appartment, with of course the two big chestnut trees.
There's enough to see, enough to enjoy!
