Ramphastos ambiguus swainsonii
Small flocks, usually consisting of 3–12 birds, move through the forest with an undulating flight, rarely travelling more than 100m at a time. This species is primarily an arboreal fruit-eater, but will also take insects, lizards, eggs, and frogs. Flocks will follow keel-billed toucans to exploit their sources of food.

Everything in our lives hold some hidden secrets. Looking at the 'Pleasure Chest' I cannot help but wonder the many exciting family adventures that this cooler could tell us of, if only it could be given voice. It has obviously been taken to many places, and seen many of the elements. Or how many stories would a pocket knife have to tell, of whitling, cutting loose knots, carving a piece of wild game over a camp fire. Oh, the wonders these treasures truly hold can be held as well in our hearts. All we have to do is remember them.

Measuring 34 cm (13 in) long, the black-chested jay is easily recognized from its distinctive facial pattern and yellow eye. The head, face, and chest are mostly black with violet-blue spots above and below the eye, as well as a violet-blue malar stripe. The underparts are white as is the tip of the tail, while the upperparts and wings are mainly dark violet-blue.
It is found in Colombia, northwestern Venezuela, Panama and far eastern Costa Rica.

This place is so well design, and so well taking care of, that you think some times you are in paradise!

This was a very fortuitous encounter. Our front door was open and so I could hear a commotion outside. I looked outside to see a pair of Long Tailed Tits that were completely bemused by their own reflection in my car window. I quickly raced upstairs to grab the camera, changed lenses and raced back down again. I slipped outside, and thankfully they were so preoccupied that they barely noticed me. It went on for about 10 minutes as they constantly flew up to their reflection, fronted up then flew back into the bush and then repeated the whole thing over and over. Facinating to watch!
