Watson had his yearly shots/checkup with the vet yesterday and we had them sample a lump in his armpit that we found about a month ago. It is some kind of a tumor but the tests came back to say that it isn't cancerous!! We were quite relieved to say the least. The vet applauded us on keeping Watson in fantastic shape and looking great because he knows how hard it is to keep Beagles slim and trim.

Bernie (this guy), Frankie and Georgie are going to the vets for checkups, vaccinations and spaying/neutering. A HUGE thank you to everyone that sent a donation. I should have enough to cover tomorrow (if the estimate ends up being accurate) so instead of worrying about how I'm going to pay the bill, I can just worry about these little monsters getting through the day. Please say some kitty prayers with me that they're in good health, that Georgie isn't pregnant and that the surgeries are uneventful. They've been improving each day (as you can see here - Bernie really likes getting a scratch) and this is just another hurdle that threatens my sanity. I love these little jerks.

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: After a summer eye checkup in 2024, we stopped in at Target and saw that a few of their adorable Our Generation accessory sets were on sale. Naturally, I needed the two school lunch sets! I was initially holding the school lunch set and was just going to walk away with one, when Shelly pointed out that this one was also there and on sale! If you took out the sliced meat, you basically have my actual school lunch: bread, cheese, water bottle, and yogurt. (Except I do my cheese sandwiches on bread with a little mayo. Mmm.) The croissant is a nice touch--fancier than the bread I normally use for my lunch. But I love croissants. I think they make a fine breakfast food. And having one in the right size for American Girl makes me want to send the girls on another trip to Paris (Paris being my dining room table with backdrop, Paris inspired attire, and doll food). The meat slices--ham? bologna? (wouldn't eat it if it were real)--make a totally cute touch! As you see, the sliced meat is all technically one piece, as is the cheese, though it looks like three slices of each. The water bottle has a nice, realistic look. And the lunchbox? So much play value! So much realism! Love the fabric choice, the zipper, the cute little front pocket...all of it! The yogurt is adorable. Love how it's supposed to be cherry flavored. The note has a reverse side, in French! Not sure why. I'm guessing this same set is sold abroad? This was a very inexpensive buy that I for see having lots of fun with!

Rotary Club of Kalyan Riverside has orgamised a medical chck camp for students, children, women and senior citizens of a small village. Total beneficiaries were near to 200. Some medicines & multi vitamins were also distributed. The day was also a Polio immunisation day i.e. 21st March, 2010
Cupcake went back for a checkup with the ophthamologist today, and she had great news!
His corneal ulcer is 95% healed, and it was all due to him not producing enough tears. So she gave us 2 more bottles of eyedrops to give him, and this should do the trick!
We celebrated by stopping by the groomers, picked up this adorable pet carrier, which was some serious $$$, but anything for Cupcake, right?, and some other goodies :)
He's a happy little man :)

Yesterday I dropped my car off for its regular checkup. (It needed only an oil change and was otherwise fine.)
This storefront is near my mechanic. I especially thought the large, in-plain-view sign for concealed weapons classes was an interesting juxtaposition in and of itself.
A man exited the store (I'm not sure one would actually call it a "store") as I aimed my camera, and asked me what I was doing. I explained, and asked if it was all right for me to photograph the sign, since it was in public view.
He had no problem with that -- he teaches the classes -- and added, "Most people want to take a picture of my Corvette."
So I did.

Today I got a six-month dental check up. Dr. Pampel & Dr. Wooley’s Dental Office in DeMotte managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule. Julie the hygienist cleaned my teeth – I had NO cavities! I even got a balloon!
