I started the walk with Bonny and mrs P this morning. I turned back after a few hundred yards. The knee is definitely improving.
We had an appointment at the Dentist's today - just for a checkup. I'm pleased to say no problems reported. We were planning to have lunch at the local Abbey Hotel but Mrs P had had some gel placed on a tooth and was told not to eat or drink for an hour. Back home then! There will be other opportunities for the lunch.
I spoke with Sandra last night in France (the widow of a good friend of mine, as she is too). We have agreed dates for me to visit her at the end of June. With that confirmed I have now booked the flights and car. I now have to negotiate the red tape that is Covid passes and e111 health certificates.
In the meantime, one of my credit cards had been blocked. After a 40 minute wait on the phone I was told that it was a 'system changeover issue' and not my fault. Grrr.

Dentist checkup today. The dental hygienist wouldn't pose looming over me in this shot, though. Maybe in six months I can convince her.

Today was a challenge. Today was the first day Jack had some sort of anxiety while visiting the doctor. He has been great every appoinment up until today :(
I figure he would go through some sort of stage like this, but I was hoping it would last longer. I always make sure to take my hour lunch during these doctor visits so I can snap away in my favorite faux studio...the pediatricians office.
Anyway...I'll have to check the setting...not sure what the Canon Speedlite 580EX was set at...I know it was manual and off camera triggered with Poverty Wizards for the last time. I hope to have my Elinchrom Skyports tomorrow. Already upgraded my 580 EX with the Flash Zebra replacement foot assembly.
It's official: she is a fat cat, and it's because she steals food from other cats. So the vet reccomends that we replace some of her dry food with special diet biscuits, which should make her feel more full and, in theory, reduce the frequency of her cat flap raids. I have doubts about this working!
