Giant statements of an architects imagination come to life rise on city streets just waiting for admiration. Grids of patterns decorate the beautifully lit buildings. Reflections, including the source of it all, dance in glass against a field of blue. Nice drama with the slight cant to the right. Spatial relationships are a secret in the urban fragment.

A view from Zabriskie point at Death Valley National Park. I took this shot in the morning as the rising sun was lighting up the folds and faraway mountains. Morning sun over the Zabriskie point is an absolutely religious experience and it’s something everyone should witness at least once in their life. The badland formations and the texture of and hues of the landscape is beyond amazing as the golden light gets there just becomes outright stunning. Thanks for visiting hope you enjoy the pics…
Just wanted to say hello. Came back from Ukraine - not much shooting there but brought a few backlights;-) I was not sure what to do the colour or mono... But i will come back to the colour as well hopefully.
Not quite up to speed yet but hope to catch up within a few days. Hope you all of you are doing well.
Canon EOS 1V, Kodak Portra 400, ISO 400, Cinestil C-41 Kit
Sometimes I take these side by side, film and digital. A repeat, shot handheld of the tree in the morning mist. This was shot on Kodak Portra 400 with the Canon EOS 1V, the last true professional 35mm film camera ever made. The Canon 1V utilizes the EF mount, so you get that modern, sweet, sweet L glass... Lens is the 70-200 L 2.8 IS III

Puddle Pedal
A parked bike shows off its silhouetted echo in rain soaked concrete. Circles duplicate and a bold vertical line anchors. Blue and gold hued concrete serves as negative space. Lines scramble a bit adding visual pathways and interest.

Solitär - from my photo exhibition "Arctic Horizon"
I had nearly always luck with the weather on my trips to the north. But even it the light is dull and there is not structure in the sky it is easy to find great things to photograph.
I took this photo on a hike to Smoerdalskammen, Lofoten, Norway.

Sollitär - Fotoausstellung "Arctic Horizon" in Bonn
Auf meinen Reisen in den Norden hatte ich
bisher immer großes Glück mit dem Wetter.
Aber auch wenn das Licht einmal nicht
mitspielt – Motive finden sich immer. Dieses
Bild entstand auf einer Wanderung auf den
Berg Smoerdalskammen, Lofoten, Norwegen.

It has been a while since I woke up and met the beauty of a new day. This image was shot on the rocky terrain of Valugan Boulder beach amid splashing waves that got me wet. My camera on the other hand was well protected with rain cover.

Sand
Sand dunes reach to the sky on the edge of our continent creating visual drama. Coarse textures of sand stand against a soft, moving sky, Each dune, kissed by the wind in its own individuality, form a pattern that builds strength.

Often, for me, light is reason enough to click the shutter. Diagonal swooshes and patterns at play joined on the vertical plane draws my eye and makes me stop and consider. Textures and colors add substance for visibility, a louvered window adds insterest, an anchor and together with slight nuances of color, it is enough. Click.

Sunrise's are a dime a dozen! Just another cliched sunrise caught at "Sunrise Park!" Where else would you go to capture one? Maple leaves in silhouette just an added attraction!
Running off to the city to hang with Jackie for the day! I'll be checkin' in later this afternoon!
Happy Cliche Saturday!
Print from New55film negative
A couple of weeks ago I took part in a B&W print workshop at The Photo Parlour in Nottingham. With tuition and guidance from master printer John Blakemore I was able to produce a couple of prints from my New55 negs. I had an amazing time 😄
