I like to think that every cloud has one.
From a recent mountain hike to see the sunrise.
This is the view that greeted me at the summit.
I needed to see the silver lining.
Are you done with all your preparations? For the holidays? For the End of the World? What time zone do you think will be the official end?
~
Overall I've finished working on the "Chasing light" for now. If you are interested to see all of it,
Please view the full series on Chasing Light on my website..
I know that we are all busy people here but just in case If anyone would be watching the slideshow could you help me to judge if 3 sec per photo looks ok? My eyes are blurred;-)

Wish you great day!
For nearly 40 years, the folks at the Utah Department of Natural Resources have gathered the bison herd on Antelope Island to check their health and manage the population. This annual roundup draws people from all over the world, young and old, locals and travelers. This year, I chatted with a couple from Canada and a gentleman who had come all the way from Argentina.
The rider pictured here was an Utah native who’s been part of the roundup for years. At 80-plus years old, he told me he might only have a few more rides left with his trusty horse who’s now over 20 years old itself. But from what I saw, he looked tough as nails and ready for another day in the saddle.
Before the roundup began, I asked if he’d take a few warm-up laps around the open field. He grinned and asked, “Walk or run?”
“Run, of course,” I said.
And run they did.
From his hat, I’d guess he once rode with the U.S. Cavalry, the kind of man who’s spent a lifetime charging into life full stride, horse and all.
I think the round-up brings back a sense of history. A way to remember and maybe even romanticize today’s cowboys and cowgirls.
My first sunset in the Dolomites 🌄
After a full day winding through fiery autumn forests and mirror-like lakes, I finally arrived at the iconic Passo Giau. And then this happened.
Standing here as the sky slowly shifted from gold to pink to deep blue, surrounded by these monumental peaks, I felt completely overwhelmed, in the best way possible. A mix of gratitude, awe, and disbelief that a place like this truly exists.
Silence, crisp air, and a landscape so vast it makes you feel small… yet incredibly alive.
One of those moments you don’t just see, you feel, and carry with you forever.

We've been under a dense marine layer all week. When I saw the promise of sun this morning, I raced out the door.
The tide was out, the sand shimmering with pastel colors ... but when the sun pierced the palm trees, striking the beach, the sand glittered like gold!!!
*happy sigh*
So funny that my favorite photo was with my iPhone! Happy Sunny Tuesday!!
This shot has it all!!
Here they are taking a break from shooting to enjoy the sunrise. I've always found it vitally important to 'put the camera' down at some point during a sunrise or sunset ... so as to thoroughly 'be in the moment.'
I had so much fun dragging them out in the sweltering humidity at 3 AM. I thank them for indulging me. When you are in good company, you can endure anything ... and that includes the early hour, the heat ... and the vicious flies!!
Thanks for inviting me, for the good wine, the fabulous dinner but most of all for the good time, the laughter and the companionship!
We've missed too many moments, over here, looking down at our toes, hoping for something to change.

To Be A Song; poem 120
|| I'm reminded how important it is to look forward to something, even if it's small. But today, they aren't small. Today I am looking forward to Yosemite tomorrow. And Madrid for the summer.
What are you looking forward to, dear ones? ||

Redwood Park
A multiple exposure doubles the beauty of the stately redwoods. Three colors dominate and contribute warmth and coolness creating a bit of energy. Nice depth hints at more and more trees. Strong verticals anchor the scene while motion dances a bit with abandon.

The photograph explores the tension between constraint and self-discovery, between isolation and the yearning to engage with the world beyond imposed limits. In a time when truth is often obscured, Breaktruth captures the fragile yet profound moment of revelation—an echo of resilience, desire, and the unstoppable force of human will.

"I'm sailing away
Set an open course for the Virgin Sea Lake
'Cause I've got to be free
Free to face the life that's ahead of me
On board, I'm the captain
So climb aboard
We'll search for tomorrow on every shore
And I'll try, oh Lord, I'll try to carry on
I look to the Sea Lake
Reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had"

Love this old Styx song! Seemed a good song to go with this beautiful sailboat ... lit up by the rays of the setting sun. I sat on the shore of Lake Michigan until the last ray had faded away.
When I saw Rachel yesterday, I found out she was in the City at this exact same moment; but down by Shedd Aquarium ... watching this same gorgeous sunset! We both got the chills talking about it! ((HUGS)) :D
Off to work; will catch up to everyone this evening!! Have an awesome Monday everyone!
Lake Champlain is not known for being a warm body of water, but it's an oven compared to some of the air temperatures we've experienced this winter in Vermont.
Panorama shot of the Horse shoe bend - I found a gap on the edge of the cliff, it looks like a water erosion that drains to the Colorado river.
I decided that this is a good vantage point, I will be directly in front of the Colorado river bend, and be able to frame the shot of the iconic rock formation.
A fellow photographer came in as a bunos to this shot.
Caught between the fleeting moments, the sunrise reminds me of life’s quiet transitions. The soft light of the morning is a canvas, bringing the world to life, one gentle ray at a time.

Do you know what it is to be here? Simultaneously wrapped up in your own fears and dreams that together wrought a metal too heavy to be anything other than this foreboding chain.
(Or launching spring.)
Do you know what it is to be free?
(I do.)

Just breathtaking. 🌅 The White Cliffs of Dover at sunset, proving that some views never get old. Pure serenity.

Bristlecone Pine - Location is around 12,000 ft ASL at White mountain INYO National park Ca, the final hike of few hundred feet to this tree is the most unforgiving, the thin air takes it's toll each few meters climb.

Dipped into a chilly November day archive for this fence shot. Sunrise over a rural farm field ... I don't want to say I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures when I bemoaned the cold not so long ago.
So ... do you think it is too terribly wrong to be thinking about jeans, jackets and a bowl of homemade soup with vegetables from my garden?
I apologize for not having been by everyone's photostreams much lately. *heavy sigh* ... but today I hope to get caught up. Hope everyone is having an awesome Friday!!
Happy Fence Friday Everyone!!
