As she crosses Fairford's Runway Threshold, 'Black 01's' Dodge Chase Car accelerates hard to tuck in behind her
Driving the car is another U-2 pilot directly communicating with 'Black 01' - calling out continuous height references and any other pertinent hints to assist the Pilot in coaxing his mount down onto Terra Firma - the most difficult part of any U-2 flight
Just after, the ground crew pick-up also accelerated away after them so that once the U-2 had come to a halt, they would then re-attach the outriggers

This young male snowy owl was constantly chased off by a larger female. No wonder the males don't stay around this area very long.
Taken on my phone yesterday at dusk, so rubbish in the quality department: "This Norman church, which was built in the 12th century, is situated at the centre of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork. The unusual pairing of the henge and the church symbolises the transition from pagan to Christian worship."
I found this on Trip Advisor: "How to describe this wonderful little place? If you're reading this you will know it's a ruin of a small, ancient church standing in the middle of an even more ancient earthwork. It has atmosphere in bucket loads regardless of the weather, time of year, time of day. If you have only a tiny interest in history and our ancestors…"

For the Macro Monday challenge "Water" (August 10th 2020)
I tried quite a few ideas - still water didn't work so I poured sparkling/fizzy water in a wide champagne coupe. I tried dropping blueberries in, but they rose to the top ... the same happened with ice cubes! The ice also caused condensation on the outside of the glass. So - imagine the blueberries and ice cubes floalting above ... and this is the disturbance below ;o)
The glass with a red square showing the part I used (which measures about 4 cm across) is in the first comment field, along with the size guide .

It's another shot from last month's Chicago Grit bike races in Mundelein, Illinois. Much of the sliding was done in camera by zooming the lens during the exposure.
