Where does time go? What forces us to develop into what we are today? Why do some develop more fully than others?

Life is like a plant growing.. when it starts off in life, they basically all resemble each other, and you don't know where it will take you.

As time passes, you begin to develop your own characteristics... you build off of the things that surround you... or you become weaker from the things that are lacking....

Eventually you decide to bloom... some flowers bloom overnight and their personality is immediately seen and enjoyed... others hesitate... don't open fully or quickly... and you are left hanging there, waiting to see what they will develop into.... others never fully bloom, become stagnant and never get further than the beginning...

Where has my life lead me?

I've uprooted myself and started life anew... in a new area... new surroundings... new friends...

I've finally decided to bloom... I am who I am... and my personality has changed so much because of the environment I'm in.... I'm not who I was when I was 18 (Thank goodness)... I'm not who I was at 28 (not as scary).... But... now, at 38, I wonder much more about where I am and where I'm going... am I finished blooming? or has it just begun?

Where are the next roads in life taking me? Will the seeds scatter and be planted elsewhere? Will the seeds be collected and planted neatly near where I am.... what makes me who I am???

Changes.... over time....

There are two sides to everybody...

I am on Jenny Craig because I work there and it is required of us. Well, I did need to lose some weight (not much but enough) and I'm definitely doing great! I have lost almost 10 pounds and almost 7 inches. The pants I am wearing in this photo I have not been able to wear since freshman year of college 5 years ago. They are about 2 sizes smaller than my other pants (which I can barely keep up anymore...annoying but great!).

I am feeling amazing. 10 pound isn't much but I feel healthier and can't wait to lost the rest:-) Soon these pants will be too big!!!

U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers with the 1-151st Aviation Regiment, Attack Reconnaissance Battalion (ARB), 59th Aviation Troop Command (ATC), South Carolina National Guard, conduct a change of responsibility ceremony at the South Carolina National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility (Location 1), Joint National Guard Base McEntire, Eastover, South Carolina, May 21, 2023. During the ceremony, U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Kevin A. Williams assumed responsibility as the command sergeant major for the 1-151st ARB from outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Donald W. Cooley. The event included the traditional passing of the colors and the passing of the noncommissioned officer (NCO) sword. The passing of the colors represents the continuity of leadership and trust within a unit, whereas the passing of the NCO sword is a reminder of the senior NCO's responsibilities in ensuring order and discipline among the troops of that unit. The sword also reminds the senior NCO of their overarching responsibility for the care and welfare of the troops. South Carolina National Guard and civilian guests, families, and friends, welcomed Command Sgt. Maj. Williams as the new Senior Enlisted Advisor for the 1-151st ARB. The 1-151st ARB is the first National Guard unit—doctrinal 24-aircraft U.S. Army attack reconnaissance battalion—equipped with the AH-64E Guardian, the latest version of the Apache helicopter. Posters of the "Change of Era" exhibition are all over town.

In the middle is a slide from the exhibition, of my dearly missed friend, Thierry Kazazian, who initiated the project 2 years ago.

Some of the people in the shots are bystanders, some are my friends with whom I was lucky enough to work with on this project in it's early stages. We came together from all over the world to see the exhibition and honour Thierry's memory.

Time won't change me but I can't change time.
