My submission to the "Transition" theme for the 12:12 project. This one was personal to me. (This is a lift, using TIP px70cp and px680cp)

it's coming.
First of all I just want to thank you for stopping by my stream and show your love and support for my work. It's been an amazing journey for me as a photographer and I've grown so much and have more room to grow still. I'm participating in a small group exhibition at The Orchard Community this Sunday. I've posted the info on my blog. If you're in the area, please stop by, I'd love to meet you.
Secondly, I just want to say that I had a blast doing another session with chord-c yesterday morning. They were so much fun to work with and even though I sprang my ankle right at the beginning of the session, they took me out to lunch at one of my favorite Italian restaurants, 33 West Trattoria at the end of the session.
Lastly, here's my latest sp that I just took this morning. It's been awhile since I've done any of these. But I remembered doing a photo similar to this 2-3 years ago...my life is moving at such a pace that I'm left wondering, "what's next?" I'm going to be putting my house on the market within the next few weeks and it's enough to freak me out...I'm just praying for wisdom and insight to see past the current situation and look straight ahead to the future.
enjoy your friday everyone.

Another play with Luminar 4, turning these old coastal defences at Portsea from bright day to stormy night. Positioned above Cheviot Beach, within the Point Nepean National Park, they are included in a large collection of military installations, dating back before WW1.
Oh how things have changed! Penn Central F7A 1840, cabless GP9B & F7A lead an eastbound manifest freight train under former New Haven Railroad wire and through Stamford, Connecticut, 1973. The roadbed and surround area look like a dump as compared to the way the area was previously maintained. This must have a hot summer day with the nose door open on F7A # 1840 for better ventilation. In the background you can see the Stamford passenger station.
Bob Hughes captured this image on film from his tower window.
On January 27th, I was part of a panel that had a great discussion on the continuing fight for trans military service at the Creating Change Conference. Though we were preaching mostly to the choir, there was some good discussion about how we got here, the value of allies, and what comes now.
The conference was so large, with 32 workshops happening at once, that the choices people had to make to pick what to attend must have been incredibly difficult. Wish I could have seen more of it and met more of the amazing people there!
The pictures at the event were pretty low quality, so here's one from home.
Once another number among over 1300 of its peers, UP 3843 is now a venerable locomotive used on local trains. The railroad industry is a funny place full of massive uncertainty, and seeing motive power change is certainly no exception to that.
Late summer in Minnesota is a season of quiet transitions for deer. While the soybean fields are luxuriously green, the early morning air carries the first hints of fall, and the deer begin to change.
This alert doe, standing among the bean rows, wears a ratty coat as patches of her sleek red-brown summer hair slowly give way to the muted gray of autumn that she will wear through the coming winter.
Each year, white-tailed deer undergo a remarkable transformation tied to the length of daylight. As the days shorten in late August, hormonal signals tell the doe’s body it is time to prepare for winter.
The fine, reddish summer hairs begin to loosen and fall, replaced by longer, denser hairs that are hollow inside. Beneath them grows a thick underfur, like a natural blanket built to trap heat.
By October, her wardrobe will be complete. The bright coat of summer that was useful to blend into sunlit fields is being replaced by a gray-brown covering that will match the muted tones of bare trees and frosted fields. Beyond simple camouflage, the new coat will conserve energy, shed snow, and keep her warm through the long, unforgiving months ahead.
Her changing colors remind us of nature’s unrelenting march toward autumn and another blessed Minnesota winter designed to freeze the hair off a brass cat statute.

"Pode haver um dia
em que a poesia
mude de endereço
deixe apenas tédio
mas enquanto isso
vem brincar comigo
vamos até onde
possa ser só riso
possa ir tão longe
possa ser tão lindo
pode ser brinquedo
pode ser tão sério..."

This was a black pleated school skirt that was around 19" in length. I finally decided it was too long and so shortened it to 13" to add to my collection of micro skirts. I'm glad I did because I enjoyed wearing it much more at this length :-)
This image is a second image which was captured earlier this week in Wiltshire whilst taking the opportunity to photograph the Milky Way. I think it's fair to say I got a little distracted.
The last time that I was fortunate to photograph the Northern Lights, was back in Iceland in March/April 2016, so only taken eight years. Hopefully some more opportunities in the near future.
