Howdy Flickrers,
I'd like to present a challenge to those who check my stream. I've noticed that many of you take wonderful photographs of many different things, but many of you take images of items you are comfortable with. Images of people we know or inanimate objects. I know I am guilty of it. Sometimes it's good to push ourselves to do new things. To try and come up with a new image, a new style or a new subject.
So here is my challenge. Go out and take a photograph of a stranger. Someone interesting you see on the street, in the bar, anywhere. Use your charm or your stealth to capture an image of this person.

Alright all you greater Moncton flickroos time to see how observer you are. Guess where this shot was taken I'll give you all a hint, it's on a street corner... :) oh and there is some kind of reflection going on with this pic so looks can be deceiving :P
When I was a little girl I was given this Greek doll in her finery. The blue has faded unevenly over the years but the rest of her is still vibrant.
Lots of drama tonight; I tried swapping video cards with my husband (long story) ended up cleaning his CPU fan and then his computer wouldn't start. Eventually fixed it but still can't find drivers for Windows for the other card and Photoshop isn't working. Hurrah for picnik.com. I always remember aviary after I have edited it elsewhere.

Challenge 3: Past, Present and Future
Challenge: Use an inspiration from your past to create a look for the pages of Marie Claire in 2034.

I tried to go with a classic silhouette in a retro print. I think a funky and fun print will definitely make it back in style. The red belt and scarf highlight the tail feathers on the parrot.
I get docked points for unfinished edges, but hey, with a newborn and two other girls I'm trying my best, so I think I just squeak by on my design.
I saw a Skipper with straight arms over the weekend and was super tempted to buy her just to make dressing her easier, but alas, this girl is the season's model.
The Aviation Challenge is an annual get together of regional schools/colleges maths/science year 12 students for an introduction to the world of aviation and a fun day of competition building gliders.
From as far north as Berwick to Richmond in the south and Darlington in the west, schools/colleges turned up in teams of 4 (+member of staff) to build a glider.
We hope these budding scientists may be inspired to join the BEng Aerospace programme and HNC/D Aeronautical Engineering programmes.
Technical delivery and hosted by Hartlepool College of Further Education; lunch and programme administration by the Advanced mathematics Support Programme; Prizes and materials costs covered by Teesside University.

Cave painting effect. It was fun learning how to make the rock texture.
Just joined photography for learners group, and took up Reggeds piccies challenge to process his daughters picture. This is my result.

With challenge 76, Laura asks us to create a Zia using our home as inspiration. After reading that I spend hours trying to come up with something else than my first thought: “Home is my heart”. So, I came to the point that I stopped trying to find something else and started my drawing with the heartchakra in the right corner.
Here is the result.
By the way, I live in the middle part of Holland and nearby are a lot of woods, so the surrounding of where I live, is very pretty.
