Beginner
Made this for the 'gift' challenge and thought I'd repost for this one. My kids and I are going to a friend's 3rd birthday party this weekend. I decided with the week's theme this would be a fun opportunity to participate in the challenge.
I took Lisa's idea of the spinner card and used it on the gift bag with the top monkey. (Monkeys are from the Playful Animals Clear Designs set).
I stamped the circles on the tissue paper using the back of the November circle stamp from November Clear Design set.
The 'ribbon' is strips of cardstock stamped with the dotted line found in the Messages Clear Design set and then curled.
Made a card and envelope to match. (Happy Birthday stamp is also from the Messages set).

This Pole challenge truly let me have an insight of what is pole dancing is about. It doesn't matter your age , sex , size.Treat it as a sport that is added with the "sexiness favor" in it. I truly respect the contestant as i see them defying gravity and doing move that need tons of training. As the saying goes, "3 minutes in the stage is equivalent of 3 years
of effort behind it".

The FV4034 Challenger 2 is a British main battle tank (MBT) currently in service with the armies of the United Kingdom and Oman. It was designed and built by the British company Vickers Defence Systems (now known as BAE Systems Land and Armaments). The manufacturer advertises it as the world's most reliable main battle tank.[3] As of January 2011, only three Challenger 2s have been damaged in combat, one of which was destroyed by another Challenger 2 in a friendly fire incident.
Challenger 2 is an extensive redesign of the Challenger 1. It uses the basic hull and automotive parts of its predecessor but all other components are new. Fewer than 5% of components are interchangeable. Challenger 2 replaced Challenger 1 in service with the British Army and is also used by the Royal Army of Oman. It has seen operational service in Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq. During the 2003 invasion of Iraq the Challenger 2 tanks suffered no tank losses to enemy fire, although one was penetrated by an RPG-29 and another by an IED, causing crew injuries.

Project 52 - Week 29 - Theme "Self Portrait."
Ok...this was the most challenging of all photo challenges. I can't believe I took so many photos until I finally said ok this on is fine. I practiced posing against our shed like Michael's photo below. I tried in my gardens but I just couldn't capture the background and morning light I was looking for.
Let me tell you how I got this shot. I did need the assistance of my son to hit the shutter button because my new D700 doesn't have the remote to use like my D90. Which makes it a breeze. Why I did not just switch camera's is beyond me. I was in such a hurry to just get this done because I had to bring him to his modeling appointment and I had to meet up with a client for a newborn session.
I used the flowers in a vase to get my focus on...many tries! Set my camera on my tripod and had Mike hit the button. Then I would go to see the image in the view finder and try again...and again...and again. I wasn't that happy with my results...off the camera came and onto a small book. I wanted the camera to look up at me like it is in this image. Ok Mike...hit the button...just keep hitting the button and I tried different poses and finally nailed this one. It's nice...I do love the coloring and how the grass is in the foreground and it's me! Done!
This was shot at F2.2, 1/250 and ISO 200.
The best thing I like...I hardly tweak this photo...the reflector used up against a lawn chair really helped with throwing light back into my face which...fills in the wrinkles...great trick!
Daphne...I'm ready for the next challenge! I hope it will be a whole lot easier! Self portraits are tough and we are tough on ourselves! I so much enjoy being behind the lens instead of in the front!

This is a page from an Art Nouveau Postcard Coloring Book. My first exercise for the 30 day coloring challenge. The cards are watercolor paper. I used Zig Real Brush Markers and watercolors.
I made these cupcakes with candy shells from a recipe in the "Little Cakes" book. I really like these because of the cute little individual candy shell made by striping candy and peeling away the shell. It looks so festive! The "popcorn" in this one is not marshmallow, but yummy buttercream with a bit of caramel swirled in. The cuppie just sits in the cup ready to eat along with the candy (the paper wrapper is discarded).
Card made for new challenge at ABNH to use layer/dimension on your card. I have used embossing paste and glitter on HA's numbers stencil and vellum over the tag for added layers!
