I stumbled across it through Edit me Challenge so I thought I'd give it a whirl!
This is Wyatt and it was fun editing such a cute photo. I straightened the photo, added a sky texture and added a levels adj. layer. Dodged and burned his baby blues, removed a couple of marks from his skin. Slightly lightened and softened his skin and pulled up the corner of his lip, just a touch. Added several of my own textures because the background was perfect for that. And removed them from him. Added some warmth, contrast and a couple of colour fill layers. Square crop, put on the notebook by Fuzzimo, added text and sharpened.

That was interesting.. So many perfumes!!
Did you know It takes 200 kg of lavender flowers to produce 1 kg of lavender extract for use in perfume! No wonder many perfumes are super expensive.. Yet, yet they smell like yesterday´s hang over puke. Just too strong stuff.
I like more those nice, feminine, spicy and sweet ones.. Not strong.. Will get headache like for sure..
I also liked to learn about the Perfume Organ!
As said, it was an interesting place, worth of visiting!
And I got this in the perfume boutique! It is mysterious, sweet, kinda sexy perfume.. It has the smell of very intimate passion between two lovers.. It´s called '' The Night. ''

The final day of the 2022 Army JROTC National Raider Championships saw individual Cadets testing their physical and mental ability in the Ultimate Raider Challenge on November 6. Brig. Gen. Michael Cunniff, The Adjutant General, New Jersey National Guard, joins Victoria Ragucci, Director of the New Jersey National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Academy, to present graduation certificates to 101 cadets of Class 39. The ChalleNGe Academy is a 22-week program that provides 16-18 year old at-risk youths a highly disciplined environment fostering academics and leadership. Through the program, cadets have an opportunity to earn a Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED).

Squads must work together to complete a modified combat fitness test, otherwise known as Mission Boston in honor of the 82nd Airborne Division’s nighttime parachute landing on D-Day in Normandy. This was the final event in the Lambka Challenge, which also included a shuttle run, pull ups, Humvee push, tire flip, low crawl, litter and buddy carry. The Lambka Challenge was the culminating team-building exercise at the end of the first iteration of Cadet Basic Training for the new cadets of the Class of 2017. The challenge, July 19, was named in honor of 1st Lt. Todd Lambka, a Class of 2010 graduate and infantry officer who was killed in action while serving in Afghanistan. The Lambka Challenge was designed by the cadet cadre to test new cadets on their physical and mental development from the past three weeks of CBT on a sprawling course throughout West Point. Finding a single tree is like looking for a needle in a haystack, when you are surrounded by trees. I love single trees and have collected several during my journeys. But try as I might, when required, I can't find a single tree to save me! With a snowfall adding a slight veil, this shapely tree stands out. (week 4)

I wanted a torn photo look. This is for a FB challenge using the App RipPix.
Challenge has been moved a short distance to berth 101e, this is just a temporary move.
She was built in 1931.
In 1939, with the outbreak of the Second World War, Challenge was put under admiralty orders. She took part in the evacuation of British and allied troops from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, who had been cut off by the German army during the Battle of Dunkirk.
You have to wonder these days what new cadets consider to be “fun.” That was the word many from the Class of 2018 used to describe the Zilinski Challenge Aug. 10 at Camp Buckner.
Squads were tested on physical strength and endurance throughout the challenge while graded on several soldier skills they’ve learned during Cadet Basic Training, like donning and sealing a protective mask, land navigation, assembling the radio and calling in for medical evacuation.
Somewhat a departure from previous Buckner challenges that used Zodiacs to get squads around a short course on Lake Popolopen, this time the squad had to low crawl across the beach and head first into the cold, murky water.
They also low crawled and swung through two obstacles at Marne, and completed three others at the Anzio Obstacle Course.
Perhaps the fun was at the Buckner Parade Field where legs buckled and bodies crumbled after a series of physical challenges. First, the Humvee push—about 300-400 meters across concrete and grass, assumably the best of both worlds. Then, imagine all that was left of the vehicle was one, huge tire. The squad had to push that back and forth another sizeable distance. Pushups, buddy carries, flutter kicks and pullups would follow before they were tested on assembling a swiss seat for rappelling.

New cadets at Range 5 conduct a squad-focused live fire exercise. The Hyde Challenge tested the new cadet regiment on all their Cadet Basic Training skills in a squad-level competition Aug. 5-7. New cadets and their squad leaders were evaluated on individual and squad ability to shoot, move, communicate, survive and conduct nighttime operations. Among the tasks in this fully-tactical field environments, new cadets were tested on weapons assembly and functions checks; Soldier First Responder medical skills; land navigation; react to improvised explosive device scenario; and a marksmanship course. The final maneuver for the squads was a hike up Mine Torne Mountain to the location where a memorial for fallen comrades was erected. The Hyde Challenge is named in honor of 1st Lt. I went out with my friend Jonathan to the Indian Reservation fields just on the East side of the 101 to try and take some sunset/car photos. I love this shot because I was able to get the sun right before it set and then have the road carry on the left side of the frame and then to see the field on the right and Camelback Mountain in the far back, I am glad I was also able to exposure enough for the foreground and background (editing helped a bit as well). The front of these new Challengers look mean with the four circle lights and that makes me like this shot even more!

This build combines a few genre into one.
As per the design brief for the 102nd challenge, the Previa Surf Van is kind of a rat rod. An ordinary car modified to perform a particular function better (surfing safaris), without going overboard on the impracticalties of beauty. I see a great many similarly themed vehicles where I live (on the doorstep of Australia's surf coast) - beware, the water is cold! They don't get the 'woody' wagon theme happening, even though the vehicle type was present here during the period that they were popular.
The Previa also mixes some of Lino's pop-culture island-beauty, hoolla totem stuff too. Lino built a VW Beetle to this exact theme for Challenge 53 - 'For the Love of the Bug'.
He even provided a recipe for the Blue Hawaiian cocktail as follows:
Ingredients:
3/4 oz. Light Rum
3/4 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
3 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Sweet & Sour Mix
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients and mix well. If using ice, mix the ingredients in a blender. Serve in a tall glass. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a cherry.
Sounds good. And makes me want to be some place warm (with warm water). The weather having just turned cold here in southern Australia.
One has to be always careful with cultural totems - so I asked a sly 'If its ok?' regarding the totem to my part-Hawaiian wife. I don't think she was paying attention though, so it might not count.
I always thought this Previa model was pretty cool, right from the first spy images in 1989 (about the time I received my driver's licence). I had grown up in a family of five kids, and we had a van. A boxy van, with vinyl interior that was white.
A Previa was like some kind of hot female, advanced space-alien from planet minivan - here to blow your mind.
I would still love one of these. Except, it only just makes it into our 1996 cut off for age, so there all probably knackered by now.

My husband and I recently started a little LEGO contest to improve our building skills. Alternately each one of us sets a theme and both of us have to build a corresponding model.
I started with "bathtub/shower".
