At the Greybull Cemetary

This is about as fine a location as you will find anywhere as yopur final stopping point. The sun rose over the Connecticut River and bathed the stones with georgious color.

The very impressive and immaculate American war cemetary at Omaha Beach, Normandy. I would recommend a visit to this place it is immaculate, very educational and really focuses you.

This oak also spreads it's mighty arms out.

This burial ground is date between AD 1000 and 1300. Grave robbers stole many artifacts and these are what remains of those graves. Archeologists uncovered others for documentation then covered them back up. There were over 3000 graves.

I have no idea what this thing is, but that's what drew me to it.

Below the cemetary is the grave of Father Seraphim Rose set up for outdoor liturgies.

Space is at premium in this small cemetary. The bones are removed from the towns cemetary every ten years to make room for more. The skull's are artistically painted, labelled and stacked inside the Beinhaus. Paintings include date of death, age, profession and motifs such as roses, laurel, ivy and oak leaves.
