The local councils in Peru, as with so many other countries like the UK, get given a budget each year and if they don't spend it, then the next year it is cut - so a lot of projects that are barely used, such as this sports colosseum, are built
Pleasant Green Cemetery is a small and very old (USA standards) cemetery with roots to the pioneers who settled the valley and miners.

Evergreen Cemetary, Portland, Maine.
This is from my archive of images I had not posted. After witnessing and photographing an Osprey at Heinz NWR recently, I revisited my images from Maine two years ago where I was somewhat closer to the bird's dive.
It's interesting to note that the tree with the white blossoms also has a few pink blossoms on the lower right side.

My first build for the ABS Builder Challenge.

The seed part is this piece.
I used the piece to make the crosses, as well as the poles that attach to the gate (although it is hard to see).
Boothill Cemetary was a place we visited in Billings, Montana. It served as the cemetary for the town (which was then called Coulson) from 1877 to 1885. It's so named because many of the people who are buried there died with their boots on.
There is a story of a stranger who came to town and went to the tavern. Before he could order his beverage, he was asked to help carry a deceased person up to the cemetary and help bury him. This is how they did it at the time. After helping to bury the person, in difficult rocky terrain, the stranger had a heart attack and died. He is buried in the cemetary under the name "Mourner".
People buried here included settlers, Native Americans, a police officer, and possibly members of the 7th Calvary.

this cemetary was hidden in a forested area only now accessible on a small foot path in minnesota although it was being maintained, I like to think some extended family member comes out to have a 'drink' with their deceased....

I found this photo today. I'd never seen it before. My dad gave me a bunch of photos a few years ago. Then my brother gave all of his photos to my sister and I. This is pure speculation, but this kind of looks like my aunt (dad's sister). I know they had a sister who died when she was just a baby...maybe she was visiting her??
