National Military Cemetary San Francisco

Took some pictures of good friend Nia in Homewood Cemetary in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Highway Dept recently uncovered this "lost" cemetary while preparing some land to use for a gravel site. Respectfully, they have marked off the plot, taken out the overgrowth, and even finished it with some gravel. Most of the graves have the names Owens on them and date from the late 1700s and 1800s. Some are so old the writing is no longer legible.

Lizard on Tombstone in Cemetary on Grand Cayman

We went on a Haunted graveyard tout. This picture was taken at the Circular Church. It you believe, there is an orb in the picture. An orb is the energy ball of a ghost.

Walking home I mentioned that most photographers always seem to do cemetaries, of course as is typical of me, i found myself without the camera, i rushed back to watch the sun set... it felt good

I noticed this crucifix monument/headstone in Eston Cemetary. The detail of the carved Jesus is so detailed. I am also surprised that it is undamaged and hope it remains so.

St. Rochus Cemetary in Nuremberg/Bavaria;Germany

I'm not sure when or who took this. I think it's somewhere in Canada, but I'm not totally sure.

This was a random point of interest for us somewhere between Tavan Bogd and the Khoton and Khurgan twin lakes. I didn't see much of a settlement (none actually) around here.

had to get over to the pendlebury post office this morning, and on my way back took a small detour onto the grounds of st. augustine's church. it has a rich history (see the set description) and features one of the most haunting old cemetaries i've seen...all wild an overgrown, with wonderful old gravestones.

as we were driving around in Monterey, Ca we drove up to a cemetary along the beach.... and there we noticed the deer.

This is an abandoned cemetary deep in the woods down an abandoned logging road. I happened on this while looking for old kaoline mines for fossils. I just happened to stop to take a leak and barely caught an upraised hand in the distance an

d just a hint of a wrought iron fence. This has the grave of Hayden Hughes consort. The writing on the consorts grave stoicly proclaimes that "here lie the remains" and the word consort is plainly visible. What is unusual is that the more ornate grave has a mariners them and religious symbols such as a cross are noticeably absent. The wrought iren posts have somewhat of a cross but given the lack of markings on the tombstones I'm thinking that this was not purposely ordered but rather what was readily available at the time. This is a very peculiar place and it has been calling me for some time to come capture the imagery of this place.
